Segundo post sobre o Postugal Fashion, e não será o último! Ainda quero falar-vos de mais alguns desfiles que aconteceram por lá, e de um tema um tanto ao quanto polémico, mas disse falamos mais adiante. Por agora deixo-vos com mais dois desfiles que amei, e para que isto não fique demasiado maçudo vou intercalando com outro tipo de publicações. Stay tuned!

Second post about Postugal Fashion, and it will not be the last one! I still want to talk about some more parades that happened there, and a somewhat controversial theme, but about it we'll talk later. For now I leave you with two more shows that I have loved, and for this not to get too boring I'll interspersed with other types of publications. Stay tuned!

Alves/Gonçalves

As propostas desta dupla surpreenderam-me, foram dos meus looks preferidos, e uma das razões pelas quais quero que os dias frios continuem por aqui. Desculpem-me os amantes das estações quentes do ano, eu também as adoro, mas esta colecção está só MARAVILHOSA! As silhuetas são esguias, elegantes e ainda assim com um toque muito rebelde, que eu amei! Não faltaram os acolchoados e o acabamento vinil que nos remete imediatamente para as estações frias do ano, e muitas silhuetas com a cintura marcada com cintos bem largos. A paleta de cores focou-se maioritariamente nos pretos e azuis escuros, sem deixar de parte os tons neutros que são cada vez mais frequentes nas colecções outono/inverno. Gostei tanto que podia mudar-me já para o hemisfério sul, quero vestir-me assim!

The proposals of this pair surprised me, this were some of mine favorite looks, and one of the reasons why I want the cold days continue here. Sorry for the lovers of the hot seasons of the year, I love them too, but this collection is just WONDERFUL! The silhouettes are slender, elegant and yet with a very rebellious touch, which I loved! There were plenty of quilts and vinyl finishes that immediately remind us the cold seasons of the year, and many waists with wide belts. The color palette was mainly focused on blacks and dark blues, without leaving aside the neutral tones that are increasingly frequent in the autumn/winter collections. I liked it so much that I could move now to the southern hemisphere, I want to dress like that!

Diogo Miranda
Diogo Miranda é outro dos meus preferidos de sempre no Portugal Fashion. Esta colecção teve como inspiração a personagem Éliane do filme "Indochina", e uma vez mais o resultado é um conjunto de looks compostos por vestidos, saias, blusas e calças perfeitos para usar em ocasiões festivas e cocktails. As silhuetas são clássicas e sofisticadas, como já nos tem habituado estação após estação, onde não faltam os volumes, ombros marcados e cinturas marcadas assim como motivos náuticos. Meninas que vão ter casamentos e festas que requerem um look on point, ponham os vossos olhos nisto!!! Lindo!!!

Diogo Miranda is another of my favorites in Portugal Fashion. This collection was inspired by the character Éliane from the film "Indochina", and once again the result is a set of looks composed of dresses, skirts, sweaters and pants perfect to wear on festive occasions and cocktails. The silhouettes are classic and sophisticated, as he have already accustomed us season after season, where there are volumes, marked shoulders and marked waists with belts as well as nautical motifs. Girls that are going to have weddings and parties that require an outfit on point, put your eyes on it!!! Beautiful!!!

Still winter

Bem me pareceu que aqueles dias de sol há uma semana atrás eram literalmente sol de pouca dura, o que na verdade até me deixou contente. Gosto muito dos dias quentes, por serem quentes mesmo, mas também por serem maiores, dias com mais horas de dia passando a redundância. Mesmo assim não gosto de dias de calor quando é suposto estar frio ainda, e quando falo de dias de calor refiro-me a dias com temperaturas a rondar os 20 graus no inverno ou início de primavera. Não gosto, para mim há coisas que não combinam, é quase como ter um dia de verão no Natal, para mim, Natal que é Natal tem de ser frio!! Mas porquê toda esta conversa? Basicamente só para vos dizer que ainda tenho muita vontade de usar as minhas camisolas de malha quentinhas e quero que estes dias frios se mantenham por isso mesmo! Esta aqui foi um achado há um ou dois anos nos saldos! É tão mas tão quentinha!!! Podia muito bem viver dentro dela se todos os meus casacos tivessem mangas tão largas que o permitissem. Mas neste dia não foi preciso casaco, por isso o look ficou assim, bem simples e básico, se é que se pode dizer que umas calças com um padrão a lembrar Versace sejam básicas… aniway, esperem pelo look completo com calças e camisa, ele virá!

It seemed to me that those sunny days a week ago were not to last, which actually made me happy. I really like hot days, because they are hot, but also because they are bigger, days with more hours of sun. Even though I don't like hot days when it's supposed to be cold yet, and when I talk about hot days I mean days with temperatures around 20 degrees in the winter or early spring. I don't like it, there are things that don't fit for me, it's almost like having a summer day at Christmas, for me Christmas has to be cold!! But why all this talk? Basically just to tell you that I still want to wearing my warm knit sweaters and I want these cold days to keep for that! This one was a find a year or two ago in the balances! It's so but so warm!!! I could easily live inside her if all my coats had sleeves that were wide enough to allow it. But this day didn't need a jacket, so the look was so simple and basic, if you I can say that pants with a pattern who remember Versace are basic... aniway, wait for the complete look with pants and shirt, he will come!

A Fabiana já é uma habitué por aqui! Não é a primeira, nem a segunda, mas sim a terceira vez que vos trago um look dela. Se forem espreitar os outros posts onde ela aparece vão constatar que ela está diferente, contudo há três coisas que não mudaram nada: a presença de óculos de sol, uma mala preta e uma pinta que não tem fim. Mas mais do que falar-vos de coisas que são evidentes deixem-me dizer-vos que a Fabiana tem um projecto muito interessante no insta. É uma lojinha online de roupa usada, mas Esta Não é Uma Loja Qualquer! Aqui há roupa que merece uma segunda oportunidade de verdade, roupa que se foi acumulando, ficando esquecida no fundo do armário, comprada um pouco por impulso, e que se contam pelos dedos de uma mão as vezes que viu a luz do dia. Há por lá roupa nova mesmo, com etiqueta! Do que estão à espera para ir conhecer este projecto da minha prima que muito me orgulha? Estamos cada vez mais conscientes da forma como consumimos moda, e isso é lindo! Há muito que comprar roupa em segunda mão deixou de ser algo depreciativo, acho na verdade bem cool!

Fabiana is already a habitué around here! It's not the first, or the second, but the third time I bring you a look of her. If you look at the other posts where she appears you'll see that she is different, however there are three things that haven't changed at all: the presence of sunglasses, a black bag and a lot of style that has no end. But more than talking about things that are obvious let me tell you that Fabiana has a very interesting project on Instagram. It's an online store for used clothes, but This is Not an Usual Shop At All! Here there are clothes that real deserve a second opportunity, clothes that have been accumulating, being forgotten in the back of the closet, bought a little by impulse, and that are counted by the fingers of a hand the times that saw the light of day. There are even new clothes there, with labels! What are you waiting for to get to know this project of my cousin that I'm very proud of? We are becoming more and more aware of the way we consume fashion, and that is beautiful! Since a lot of time that buying second-hand clothes is no longer demeaning, I think it's actually pretty cool!

Miguel Vieira

Já vos tinha mostrado aqui no blog as propostas de Miguel Vieira para o Outono Inverno 2019/2020, mas apenas a colecção masculina, que foi apresentada em Milão no início do ano. Na semana passada terminou o Portugal Fashion, e consegui finalmente ver ao vivo e a cores a colecção toda, da qual faziam parte algumas propostas femininas, que são precisamente as que vos mostro aqui hoje. Eu já tinha amado a colecção masculina, e confesso-vos que estava super expectante para ver o que ia ser apresentado para mulher. As minhas expectativas não saíram de todo defraudadas, eu adorei mesmo esta colecção! Sinto que é totalemte moda autoral mas super usável, e eu adoro isso! A paleta de cores focou-se muito em tons azuis nas propostas femininas e não faltaram os brilhos nem os padrões com a inicial M. Já os cortes são intemporais, como já nos habituou o criador, mas ainda assim com um toque jovem e actual. Well done!! 

I had already shown you here Miguel Vieira's proposals for the Autumn/Winter 2019/2020, but only the men's collection, which was presented in Milan earlier this year. Last week occured Portugal Fashion, and I was able to see the whole collection live finally, which included some feminine proposals, which are precisely what I show you here today. I had already loved the men's collection, and I confess I was super expectant to see what was going to be presented to women. My expectations were not disappoint at all, I really loved this collection! I feel that it's totally authorial but super wearable, and I love it! The color palette was very focused on blue tones in the female proposals and there were glitters or patterns with the initial M. The cuts are timeless, as the creator has accustomed us, but still with a young and current touch. Well done!!

Lembram-se do Litos? Apareceu aqui no blog, pela primeira vez, em Novembro de 2017. Nossa, e agora acabei de realizar que já passou tanto tempo, e ele já foi o sétimo a aparecer por aqui! O Litos está de volta, e para quem não se lembra, é um dos meus muitos primos. Sim, tirando eu, a minha irmã e a minha prima Fabiana (que também já apareceram por aqui mais do que uma vez), são só primos que tenho. E o Litos é um dos que me é mais próximo, e de todos acho que o mais louco!! Não que os outros sejam demasiado certinhos e atinados, que não o são, mas o Litos é o meu primo mais animado, mais crazy, mais viajado, o que me acompanhou em algumas semanas de Portugal Fashion (as primeiras foram sempre com ele), é aquele que tem sempre montes de histórias para contar, e são sempre de rir! Já não estava com este marmelo há uns tempos, foi viajar e voltou há umas semanas e eu lembrei-me logo que ia ser boa ideia aproveitar aquele bronze que ele trazia do outro lado do mundo, assim como o bom tempo que se fez sentir nos últimos dias por aqui. Por isso o resultado é um pouco mais primaveril, simples mas muito cool, como vocês já sabem que eu gosto.

Do you remember Litos? He appeared here on the blog for the first time in November 2017. Wow, and now I just realized that it's been so long, and he was already the seventh to appear here! Litos is back, and for those who don't remember, he's one of my many cousins. Yes, apart from me, my sister and my cousin Fabiana (who have also appeared here more than once), I only have cousins. And Litos is one of the closest to me, and I think he's the craziest!! Not that the others are too correct, but Litos is the most excited, the craziest, the more traveled, which accompanied me in a few weeks of Portugal Fashion (the first ones were always with him), is the one who always has lots of stories to tell, and they are always laughing! I had not been with this quince for some time, he went to travel and came back a few weeks ago and I remembered that it would be a good idea to take advantage of that tan that he brought from the other side of the world, as well as the good weather that we feel here the last days. So the result has a bit more spring vibe, simple but very cool, as you already know that I like.

Uniform

Tenho andado desaparecida daqui do blog, mas ultimamente não tenho conseguido fotografar sempre que visto alguma coisa nova ou acho que o look mereça ser mostrado aqui. Confesso que tenho andado um pouco preguiçosa também (e que essa preguiça se tem vindo a arrastar nos últimos meses), sim, porque isto de tirar fotos, editar e publicar dá mais trabalho do que parece. Mas adiante, e porque não vim aqui para me queixar, queria apenas dizer-vos que a minha obsessão por casacos se mantém forte e inalterada. Já tinha no armário uma gabardina azul marinha, num tecido mais fino e por isso ideal para a primavera, uma bege tipo camurça, mas também fininha, e não tinha nenhuma verdadeiramente quente e mais robusta que pudesse usar no inverno. Foi isso que me fez comprar esta nos saldos de inverno do ano passado. O desconto com que ela estava também!! Acho que foi um verdadeiro achado tendo em conta a qualidade e os acabamentos dela (que mesmo sendo Zara estão bem bons). Sei que praticamente não a mostrei aqui mas uso-a mais vezes do que possam pensar. E adoro que seja assim, abotoada de cima a baixo, sobre um look monocromático, e com algum acessório mais vistoso. Ela é bem quentinha e prática, impermeável e grandalhona, assim numa onda mais ouversized como eu gosto. Podia fazer disto um uniforme, acreditem.

Know I have been away from this blog, but lately I haven't been able to photograph whenever I wear something new or I think the look deserves to be shown here. I confess that I have been a bit lazy too (and that this laziness has been dragging in the last months), yes, because this of taking photos, editing and publishing gives more work than it seems. But then, and because I didn't come here to complain, I just wanted to tell you that my obsecion for coats remains strong and unchanged. I already had a navy-blue gabardine in a thinner fabric, so perfect for spring, a suede-like beige one, but thin too, and I didn't have none truly hot and sturdy that I could wear in the winter. That's what made me buy this one in the winter balances last year. The discount that it got too!! I think it was a real find considering the quality and finishes of it (that even being Zara are very good). I know I haven't practically shown it here but I use it more often than you can think. And I love it that way, buttoned from top to bottom, on a monochromatic look, and with some more showy accessory. It's very warm and practical, waterproof and big, on a more orversized cut as I like. I could make this a uniform, believe me.

Coat lover

Tenho um problema com casacos, confesso! De cada vez que entro numa loja online vou direita à secção dos casacos. Não que me faltem casacos no armário, nada disso, mas acho que é a minha maior obcecação a nível de peça de roupa. Já passei pela fase das t-shirts com estampados de animais (que hoje quase já não uso), das t-shirts com frases inspiradoras, das camisas (em particular as brancas), das jeans, das botas e sapatos, mas nunca deixei de me perder de amores por casacos. Isto porque olhando para o meu armário, estação após estação, vou sempre adicionando um ou outro casaco, e o mesmo não sucede com as outras peças, em que há estações em que nem as compro!
Acho que isto é o resultado de um ciclo bem natural. Desde que começamos a ter poder de compra que nos apetece apetrechar o armário de tudo o que está em falta. Claro que a lista, sendo longa, se traduz maioritariamente em compras em fast fashion. Com o passar dos anos vamos acumulando, no meio de tanta roupa vai surgindo a certeza que aquela peça X que compramos foi uma boa aposta, mas ela está um trapo, e com isso acabamos por procurar a mesma peça com maior qualidade, evitando estar sempre a comprar uma coisa que se gastará num instante, preferimos algo mais duradouro, e recorremos a marcas melhores. Do mesmo modo vamos tendo consciência do que realmente não se encaixa tanto em nós, e daquilo que compramos mas que acabamos por não dar tanto uso. Tudo isto acaba por, na minha opinião, se traduzir nesta imensa necessidade de "destralhar" que temos vindo a ver tanto nas redes sociais. Na verdade toda esta necessidade é o reflexo do nosso crescimento, e de sabermos o que realmente nos fica bem e em que peças nos sentimos bem, aquelas peças que usamos por anos mesmo com o passar das tendências!
Resumindo e concluindo, e voltando ao tema dos casacos, acho que um bom casaco faz realmente a diferença num look. Deve ser por isso que gosto tanto de casacos, e não resisti a este, tipo robe, que encontrei na última Black Friday. Digam lá que ele não é lindo?! Além de ser quentinho ainda dá para tirar aquele pelo dos bolsos e consigo logo um casaco ainda mais básico. Top não?

I have a problem with coats, I confess! Every time I go into an online store I go straight to the section of the coats. Not that I lack coats in the closet, none of it, but I think it's my biggest obsession at the garment level. I've gone through the phase of animal print t-shirts (which I almost no longer use), the t-shirts with inspirational phrases, shirts (particularly white ones), jeans, boots and shoes, but I never stopped love coats. This is because looking at my closet, season after season, I always add one or another coat, and the same does not happen with the other pieces, in which there are seasons when I don't even buy them!
I think this is the result of a very natural cycle. Since we started to have purchasing power we feel the need to equipping the closet of everything that is missing. Of course the list, being long, mostly translates to shopping in fast fashion. Over the years we accumulate, in the middle of so much clothing we start coming to be sure that the piece X we bought was a good bet, but it's a rag, and with this we end up looking for the same piece with higher quality, avoiding always being to buy something that will be spent in an instant, we prefer something more lasting, and we resort to better brands. In the same way we are aware of what really doesn't fit us so much, and what we buy but that we end up not giving so much use. All this ends up, in my opinion, to translate into this immense need to no accumulate that we have come to see in social networks. In fact, all this need is the reflection of our growth, and of knowing what really looks good on us and what clothes we feel good in, those pieces we have used for years even with the passing of trends!
Summarizing and concluding, and going back to the theme of the coats, I think a good coat really makes the difference in a look. That must be why I like jackets so much, and I can not resist to this robe-type suit I found on the last Black Friday. Tell me if it's not handsome?! Besides being warm I can take that fur out of the pockets and I get an even more basic coat. Great, don't you think?

Estava a demorar mas lá consegui trazer a Dani a esta rubrica. Conheci a Dani numa das últimas edições do Portugal Fashion e rapidamente nos tornamos parceiras nestas andanças da moda. Desde então já se podem contar alguns eventos, uns quantos desfiles, saídas e afins. Este era o look que ela ia usar em Milão para mais um desfile, mas o que aconteceu vocês já sabem. Mesmo assim já tínhamos combinado fotografar, e assim foi. Fui ter com ela a Aveiro, uma cidade onde estudei e que adoro, e claro, a Dani fez o match perfeito com o romantismo daquela que é a Veneza de Portugal. Pensem numa pessoa com um estilo bem senhoria e chique. A Dani é essa pessoa! Nunca a vi de jeans e sinceramente nem sei o que acharia se a visse nesse registo, porque esta vibe mais menina encaixa nela na perfeição. Ainda assim, e sem fugir das saias midi que tanto a caracterizam, ela consegui aqui um toque mais fashion e contemporâneo com este all black com sapatos vermelhos. Claro que os óculos com um toque futurista ajudaram! Amei!!

It was taking a while but I was able to bring Dani here. I met Dani in one of the last editions of Portugal Fashion and we quickly became partners in these fashion things. Since then we can already count some events, a few parades, exits and some other things. This was the look she was going to wear in Milan for another parade, but what happened you already know. Even so we had already combined photograph it, and so it was. I went to Aveiro, a city where I studied and I love, and of course, Dani made the perfect match with the romanticism of that which is the Venice of Portugal. Think on a person with a very lordly and chic style. Dani is that person! I've never seen her in jeans and honestly I don't even know what I'd think if I saw her in that register, because this girly vibe fits her perfectly. Still, and without escaping the midi skirts that characterize her so much, she achieved a more fashion and contemporary touch with this all black with red shoes. Of course the sunglasses with a futuristic touch helped! Loved it!!

Coincidence

Quem aqui não acredita em coincidências?
No dia 12 de Janeiro era suporto estar em Milão para assistir ao desfile do Miguel Vieira apoiado pelo Portugal Fashion na semana de moda masculina. Como já vos contei pelo instagram, não consegui estar presente, o voo foi cancelado, mas não foi esse o motivo que me fez ficar sem conhecer a colecção. O Miguel Vieira é quase meu conterrâneo. É mesmo ali da cidade ao lado, e confesso que isso sempre me encheu de orgulho. Podem achar isto parvo mas desde cedo que o nome dele deixou de ser estranho para mim, talvez consequência dessa “proximidade”. Como tal, e sempre que possível, tenho acompanhado todos os seus desfiles. Quando planeava a viagem a Milão, e tendo em conta o registo estético do Miguel Vieira, sempre com um toque clássico e chic, com cortes que nos remetem para a alfaiataria, lembrei-me logo deste fato da Mango que comprei há uns meses e ainda não tinha usado. A história que me levou a compra-lo conto-vos melhor da próxima vez que o mostrar aqui, por agora quero apenas que vão ao post anterior espreitar os looks do desfile e vejam… há um coordenado muito, mas mesmo muito, semelhante a este! Inicialmente, e porque em Milão ia estar frio, ia usar o meu casaco de pelo em cima deste fato, mas decidi fotografar sem ele para que o compreendessem melhor. Se forem lá espreitar de novo vão encontrar outro coordenado bem semelhante, com um mega casacão de pelo em cima de um fato.
Não sei se isto são coincidências ou simplesmente inconsciente conhecimento estético de uma marca que adoro! Achei lindo quando me deparei com estas semelhanças! O que acham?

On the 12th of January it was supposed to be in Milan to watch the Miguel Vieira's fashion show supported by Portugal Fashion in the men's fashion week. As I told you on my instagram, I couldn't be present, the flight was canceled, but that wasn't the reason why I didn't know the collection. Miguel Vieira is almost my countryman. It's right there in the next town, and I confess that it always filled me with pride. You may think it's silly, but since years, his name is no longer strange to me, perhaps a consequence of this "closeness". As such, and whenever possible, I have accompanied all her parades. When I was planning the trip to Milan, and taking into account Miguel Vieira's aesthetic, always with a classic and chic touch, with cuts that refer us to the tailoring, I soon remembered this Mango suit I bought a few months ago and still had not used. The story that led me to buy it I'll tell you better the next time I show it here, for now I just want you to go to the previous post to look at the looks of the parade and see... there is a very, very very, similar look to this! Initially, and because in Milan it was going to be cold, I was going to wear my fur coat on top of this suit, but I decided to shoot without it so you can understand it better. If you go back again then you'll find another very similar co-ordinate, with a huge fur coat on top of a suit.
I don't know if these are coincidences or simply unconscious aesthetic knowledge of a brand that I love! I thought it was beautiful when I came across these similarities! What do you think?

Foi em Milão que, na semana passada, Miguel Vieira apresentou as suas propostas para o Outono-Inverno 2019/2020. Além dos habituais pretos e brancos, não faltaram neste desfile os tons cinza, areia, amarelo mostarda, castanho e azuis claro e marinho. Tudo isto remetendo-nos para um inverno ameno em África. Essa inspiração é notória também nos padrões, não os florais, mas sim os geométricos, a lembrar os tão característicos padrões étnicos que foram aqui reinterpretados.

As silhuetas são justas, como já é habitual, com fatos slim em tecidos leves e frescos, mas intercaladas por volumes conferidos por tecidos mais grossos e estruturados, como a bombazina e o veludo. Consegue-se assim uma mistura entre o clássico, tão característico de Miguel Vieira, e uma vibe mais streetwear que tem vindo a ganhar terreno nas grandes marcas de moda! Consequência disso também, não faltaram os acessórios, como o colar dourado com um "M", as sapatilhas bota-meia, os sacos de compras e as bolsas a tiracolo, os óculos e os cintos.

Pela quantidade de coordenados que compilei aqui dá para perceber que amei esta colecção certo? Bem, no próximo post continuamos esta conversa...

It was in Milan that last week Miguel Vieira presented his proposals for the 2019/2020 autumn-winter. In addition to the usual blacks and whites, this show has a lot of gray, sand, mustard yellow, brown and light and navy blues. All this referring us to a mild winter in Africa. This inspiration is notorious also in the patterns, not the floral ones, but the geometric ones, remembering the so characteristic ethnic patterns that have been reinterpreted here.

The silhouettes are fair, as usual, with slim suits in light and fresh fabrics, but interspersed with volumes conferred by thicker and more structured fabrics such as bombazin and velvet. This is a mix between the classic, so characteristic of Miguel Vieira's, and a more streetwear vibe that has been gaining ground in the big fashion brands! As a result, there were accessories such as the gold necklace with an "M", the sock sneckers, the shopping bags and the shoulder bags, the glasses and the belts.
