Sabem aquela coisa de deixarmos a nossa roupa falar por nós? Quando vi esta camisola com capuz nos saldos do ano passado não resisti. Primeiro porque não é de hoje a minha paixão por frases estampadas na roupa, depois porque este conjunto de letras é mais do que uma frase simplesmente, é a letra de uma música poderosa, cantada por uma diva igualmente poderosa. Adoro esta música, só para que fique claro. E depois é uma camisola preta, não tinha nenhuma camisola deste estilo nesta cor, e já esta a sentir que era necessária. Já a usei inúmeras vezes desde que a comprei mas não sei se alguma vez ela fez tanto sentido como agora. Na semana em que regressamos ao segundo confinamento geral, consequência única e exclusiva do nosso desleixo nos últimos tempos, não podia querer que as pessoas tivessem mais do que respeito. Se as medidas que o governo nos impõe são as melhores? É questionável, claro que é. Mas acho tão necessário que tenhamos empatia e respeito uns pelos outros neste momento... Respeito pelos que os rodeiam, família, amigos, colegas de trabalho e meros desconhecidos, pelos dirigentes do país, que podendo estar certos ou errados merecem a nossa colaboração, e essencialmente respeito pelos profissionais de saúde que estão a aguentar com esta avalanche sem fim há vista quase há um ano. Sinto que muitas pessoas não perceberam ainda que vivemos em comunidade, e como tal os nossos atos não são inconsequentes, e mesmo que não nos prejudiquem diretamente, podem estar a por em risco outras pessoas. Fico triste, mas não me surpreende. Quem achou que depois desta pandemia o mundo seria um lugar melhor certamente já reconsiderou essa opinião, infelizmente.

Do you know that thing about letting our clothes speak for us? When I saw this sweater on last year's sales, I couldn't resist. First because my passion for phrases printed on clothes isn't from today, then because this set of words is more than just a phrase, it's the lyrics of a powerful song, sung by an equally powerful diva. I love this song, just to make it clear. And then it's a black sweater, and I hadn't none of this style in this color, and I was already feeling that it was necessary. I've used it countless times since I bought it but I don't know if it ever made as much sense as it does now. In the week that we returned to the second general confinement, a unique and exclusive consequence of our negligence in recent times, I couldn't want people to have more than respect. If the measures that the government imposes on us are the best? It's questionable, of course it is. But I think it's so necessary that we have empathy and respect for each other at this moment... Respect for those around us, family, friends, co-workers and mere strangers, for the leaders of the country, who may be right or wrong deserve our collaboration, and essentially respect for the health professionals who are enduring this endless avalanche for almost a year. I feel that many people have not yet realized that we live in community, and as such our actions are not inconsequential, and even if they don't directly harm us, they may be putting other people at risk. I'm sad, but it doesn't surprise me. Whoever thought that after this pandemic the world would be a better place has certainly reconsidered that opinion, unfortunately.

Mais um mês, quase quase a meio, mas ainda venho a tempo de vos mostrar a minha lista de Janeiro. Espero que gostem e se inspirem. Contem-me qual o vosso preferido!

1 - Conheci esta marca espanhola recentemente numa ourivesaria onde fui aqui perto de casa. Apaixonei-me pelos brincos e não só. As joias desta marca são maioritariamente discretas e delicadas, sempre com muitos brilhantes e pedrinhas reluzentes, e claro, como o meu pais sempre diz, “se tem brilhantes a Joana gosta”, é mesmo verdade, eu gostei e já quero! Se preciso, não, não preciso, aliás, o próprio nome “acessório” que descreve tantas vezes estes objetos remete-nos para a verdadeira utilidade o mesmo, mas gosto tanto e acho tão elegantes que certamente vou incluir um dos exemplares da marca nas minhas listas de desejos. Entretanto vão lá espreitar o site da marca (Salvatore Plata) para terem uma ideia do que falo, e confiem em mim, as peças são bem mais bonitas ao vivo e a cores!

2 - Há uns anos andei a babar por um casaco de pelo assim. Era castanho escuro e lindo de morrer, cheguei mesmo a experimenta-lo e adorei parecer um urso quando o vesti. Era enorme, macio e quente como se pretende. A minha artéria de somítica fez-me perder a chance de o ter. Reparem que eu escrevi artéria e não veia, porque eu sou assumidamente amante de descontos e pechinchas, e sempre me deixa chateada perceber que comprei alguma coisa a preço cheio que mais tarde está à venda com 50% de desconto. Na esperança de encontrar o casaco a metade do preço lá acabei por não o comprar no imediato, e pumbas, toma lá, não sejas agarrada… Nunca mais o encontrei, procurei por todo o lado e estava esgotado em todo o lado. Ainda pensei que o excedente de lojas espanholas podia chegar à loja outlet mas nem isso. Que desgosto consumista tão grande! No ano seguinte o casaco apareceu novamente em loja num tom mais claro, e obviamente que, de lição aprendida, não me deixei esperar. Comprei-o e amo de paixão. Tanto tanto tanto, que nos últimos saldos de verão voltei a comprar outro exatamente igual, em branco desta vez! Porque sim, eu sou dessas que quando gosta compra em mais do que uma cor. Reparei numa das últimas idas ao shopping que o casaco continua à venda, noutras cores, e não consigo não me agarrar a ele de tão macio e fofo que é. Não, desta vez não comprei mais nenhum, nem vou comprar, porque a pessoa ama mas sabe que tem de se controlar, mas uma vez que este frio russo não nos larga, nada melhor do que aproveitar os descontos e comprar um destes exemplares, para nos aquecer e não só, mandar muita pinta também!

3 - Recebi um dos porta-chaves da marca no Natal e mal vi o embrulho sabia o que aí vinha. Remeteu-me imediatamente para os dias quentes de verão, em que numa praia do sul ouvimos o marido dizer à mulher que lhe chegasse qualquer coisa da “Bimba Bola”. Foi uma daquelas conversas que apanhamos acidentalmente mas que em família tratamos logo de eternizar como um meme, ou uma privet joke, como lhe queiram chamar! Desde então que o meu namorado andava a ameaçar oferecer-me um porta-chaves da “Bimba Bola”. E ofereceu mesmo! Não este, mas outro parecido, que já está a uso e que eu gosto muito! Se há memórias que nos aquecem são as do verão certamente, e se está tanto frio hoje e tudo o que queremos é voltar da rua para o conforto de um lugar aquecido, nada melhor do que associar estas memórias tão quentinhas ao acessório que nos agrupa as chaves que nos dão acesso ao nosso mundo, a nossa casa.

4 - Se me seguem no instagram já viram estas botas por lá. Mas se não seguem, long story short, vi uma senhora numa fila de espera tão bem vestida que me apaixonei, e ela estava com estas botas nos pés. Claro que comecei logo a tirar-lhe as medidas e a pensar como podia copiar aquele estilo! As botas são desta coleção, sorte a minha, e eu quero muito pôr-lhes as mãos em cima, ou melhor, os pés dentro!! Não tenho nenhumas botas assim de cano alto, e adoro esta tendência Bottega Veneta inspired. Aliás, espreitei noutro dia o armário dos sapatos e reparei que as solas de rasto e os sapatos e botas mais “grossos” são a maioria por ali. Esta vibe galocha também me agrada. Não são umas galochas propriamente ditas, mas estão lá perto e gosto de pensar que serão umas excelentes aliadas em dias de chuva! Compro ou resisto? Eis a questão!

5 - Gosto sempre de vos trazer novidades aqui, dicas de coisas que gosto, coisas que tenho ou que vi por aí, e que acho serem bons “negócios”, mas também procuro inspiração em outros locais. E noutro dia, num dos jornais online que não dispenso espreitar, descobri esta marca maravilhosa, nacional, que trabalha o vidro de forma deslumbrante. Incrível pensar que estas formas saem literalmente de dentro de pessoas como nós através do sopro. E incrível também perceber que, tendo em conta a natureza orgânica da produção, dificilmente teremos peças iguais entre si, milimetricamente iguais, e isso confere ao objeto aquele grau de preciosidade que eu e muitos apreciam. Este decantador é mais do que um simples jarro com fundo para deixar o vinho respirar. É uma obra de arte e decoração. Chamem-me maluca, mas a minha formação em design de produto não me deixa entender este objeto se outra forma qualquer. Eu nem bebo assim tanto vinho mas já quero, para usar num qualquer jantar especial cá em casa, para expor, deixar o néctar dos deuses repousar e apreciar, tão bonito!

1 - I met this Spanish brand recently at a jewelry store where I went here close to home. I felt in love with earrings and more. The jewels of this brand are mostly discreet and delicate, always with lots of diamonds and shiny stones, and of course, as my father always says, "If there are diamonds, Joana likes them", it's true, I liked it and I already want it! If I need to, no, I don't need the name “accessory”, which describes these objects so often, it reminds us of the same usefulness, but I like it so much and I think it's so elegant that I will certainly include one of the pieces on my wish lists. 2 - A few years ago I drooled over a fur coat like that. It was dark brown and beautiful to die for, I even tried it on store and I loved looking like a bear when I put it on. It was huge, soft and warm as intended. My somatic artery made me miss the chance to have it. Notice that I wrote artery and did not vein, because I'm openly a lover of discounts and bargains, and it always makes me upset to realize that I bought something at full price that is later on sale 50% off. In the hope of finding the coat at half the price there, I ended up not buying it right away, and gosh, take it, don't be like that Jo… I never found it again, I looked everywhere and it was sold out everywhere. I still thought that the surplus of Spanish stores could reach the outlet store, but not even that. What a great consumer disgust! The following year the coat appeared again in store in a lighter tone, and obviously, from a lesson learned, I didn't let myself wait. I bought it and I love it with passion. So much so much, that in the last summer sales I bought another one exactly the same, white this time! Because yes, I am one of those who when likes wants to buy in more than one color. I noticed in one of the last trips to the mall that the coat is still on sale, in other colors, and I can't help but cling to it, it's so soft and fluffy. No, this time I didn't buy any more, nor am I going to buy, because the person loves it but knows that has to control himself, but since this Russian cold won't let us go, nothing better than taking advantage of the discounts and buying one of these copies, for keep us warm and not only, looks great and cool too!

3 - I received one of this keychains at Christmas and as soon as I saw the package I knew what was coming. He immediately referred me to the hot summer days, when on a southern beach we heard a husband asking his wife to gave him something from the “Bimba Bola” brand. It was one of those conversations that we accidentally caught but that in family we immediately tried to immortalize as a meme, or a privet joke, as you want to call it! Since then, my boyfriend has been threatening to offer me a keychain from “Bimba Bola”. And he did! Not this one, but another similar one, which is already in use and which I like a lot! If there are memories that keep us warm, those of summer certainly, and if it is so cold today and all we want is to return from the street to the comfort of a warm place, nothing better than to associate these warm memories with the accessory that brings us together to this keys that give us access to our world, our home.

4 - If you follow me on instagram, you've seen these boots over there. But if you don't, long story short, I saw a lady in a waiting line so well dressed that I fell in love, and she had these boots on her feet. Of course, I immediately started measuring her and wondering how I could copy that style! The boots are from this collection, lucky me, and I really want to put my hands on them, or rather, my feet inside!! I don't have any boots like that, and I love this Bottega Veneta inspired trend. In fact, I looked in the shoe closet the other day and noticed that the track soles and the “thicker” shoes and boots are the majority there. This galoshes vibe pleases me too. They are not wellies, but they are close by and I like to think they will be excellent allies on rainy days! Buy or resist? That is the question!

5 - I always like to bring you news here, tips on things I like, things I have or have seen around, and which I think are good “deals”, but I also look for inspiration in other places. And the other day, in one of the online newspapers that I read, I discovered this wonderful, portuguese brand, which works glass in a dazzling way. Amazing to think that these shapes literally come out of people like us through the breath. And also to realize that, taking into account the organic nature of the production, we will hardly have pieces that are the same, millimetrically equal, and this gives the object that degree of preciousness that I and many appreciate. This decanter is more than just a jug with a bottom to let the wine breathe. It is a work of art and decoration. Call me crazy, but my training in product design doesn't let me understand this object in any other way. I don't even drink that much wine but I already want to use it at any special dinner here at home, to expose it, let the nectar of the gods rest and apreciate, so beautiful!

Sabem aqueles looks fáceis que raramente falham? Tenho para mim que desse conjunto de soluções de última hora a combinação de uma camisa com uns jeans e um blazer é apenas batido pelo vestido, que sendo uma peça única não pede muito em termos de conjugação. E quando eu vi esta camisa antiga da minha avó pensei, instantaneamente, que ela ia ficar perfeita assim, caçada nuns jeans de cintura subida, que aliás, já não dispenso, e com um blazer por cima. Não me enganei, é uma combinação de peças básicas e simples, que em conjunto se complementam. E imaginem que eu queria um look mais sofisticado aqui,  bastava trocar as sapatilhas por uns sapatos altos et voilà! Não falha nunca!
