2020, go away

 

E quando eu acho que vou conseguir ter tempo para o blog, pumbas, toma lá mais uma rasteira… este ano tem sido assim, rasteira atrás de rasteira, imprevisto atrás de imprevisto. Se há coisa que podemos aprender com 2020 é que na vida há poucas coisas que controlamos, e das duas uma, ou te adaptas ás novas circunstâncias, ou vais sofrer até te adaptares. Foi assim o último mês, uma adaptação constante, dolorosa e chata, e sinto que agora, mais do que no verão, estou a precisar de férias. Depois de um contágio positivo para o vírus do ano na família, invariavelmente acabamos todos isolados. Por todos entenda-se 6 pessoas, as poucas pessoas com quem privo sem máscara e sem respeitar escrupulosamente os dois metros de distanciamento recomendados. Foi assim que terminou Outubro e começou Novembro. Confinados a 100 metros quadrados, eu e o meu namorado, no lindo T2 a que chamamos lar. É maravilhoso trabalhar em casa, uns dias cá, outros na empresa, porque acaba por ser uma quebra na rotina, quase que como uma lufada de ar fresco, falo por mim, mas ter de ficar confinada a 100 metros quadrados dez dias seguidos, sem pisar o risco, quando já limpaste tudo e mais alguma coisa, quando já viste todas as temporadas das séries que estavam pendentes, quando já nem te apetece ler e a tua rotina se resume a um vaivém do quarto para a sala, não é lá muito doce. Para mim, o facto de ser algo forçado piora a situação, eu que até sou caseira e cada vez mais gosto de estar sossegada no meu canto, não aprecio a obrigatoriedade que um isolamento impõe. Na verdade quem gosta de ser mandado?! Mas respira Jo, respira… Enquanto lidávamos com esta pequena inconveniência surgiu outra bem maior. Sim, 2020 a dar todas. A minha avó ficou doente, num ápice quase, e partiu. É muito chato ter de lidar com a ausência das pessoas que mais gostamos num momento assim, em que invariavelmente estamos tão voltados para dentro de nós mesmos porque a rotina fez um pause e nos sobra demasiado tempo para pensar. É muito chato saber que não controlamos quase nada além da forma como reagimos às adversidades. 2020 está a ser assim, um ano bem chatinho, que certamente lembrarei não pelos melhores motivos. Mas como digo muitas vezes, é hora de encarar o copo, sempre, mas sempre, meio cheio. Porque em tudo o que nos acontece há sempre algo bom e positivo. Acredito muito nisso, que encarar as coisas de forma positiva torna-nos pessoas bem resolvidas e mais leves, prontas para seguir em frente. E vocês? Concordam? Estão a levar coça de 2020? Confined to 100 square meters, my boyfriend and I, in the beautiful T2 we call home. It's wonderful to work at home, some days here, others at the company, because it ends up being a break from the routine, almost like a breath of fresh air, I speak for myself, but having to be confined to 100 square meters ten days in a row, without step on the risk, when you've cleaned up everything and something else, when you've seen all the seasons of the series that were pending, when you don't even feel like reading and your routine comes down to a back and forth from bedroom to sittingroom, it's not much candy. For me, the fact of being forced makes the situation worse, I, who am even homely and increasingly enjoy being quiet in my corner, don't appreciate the obligation that isolation imposes. Actually who likes to comply orders?! But breathe Jo, breathe… While we were dealing with this little inconvenience, a much bigger one emerged. Yes, 2020 beeing stunning (not). My grandmother got sick, to quick, and she passed away. It's very annoying to have to deal with the absence of the people we like most at a time like this, when we are invariably so turned inward because routine has paused and we have too much time to think. It's very annoying to know that we control almost nothing but how we react to adversity. 2020 is being like this, a very boring year, which I'll certainly remember not for the best reasons. But as I say many times, it's time to look at the glass, always, but always, half full. Because in everything that happens to us there is always something good and positive. I believe a lot in that, that facing things in a positive way makes us well resolved and lighter people, ready to move on. And you? Do you agree? Are you getting itchy from 2020? How are you coping?

Novembro a começar e, desta vez sem atrasos, trago-vos a lista do mês. Hoje, além dos muito esperados itens de moda, sugiro-vos dois itens de beleza e um daqueles que eu inseriria num grupo cultural, mas adiante já vos explico melhor. Curiosos? Bora lá!

1 - Que as malas pequenas estão na moda já todos devemos ter percebido. Culpa talvez da Jacquemus, que lançou a sua já muito icónica Chiquito, popularizada também pela cantora Lizzo depois de aparecer na passadeira vermelha com um exemplar ridiculamente minúsculo, onde talvez coubesse um anel do dedo mindinho. Claro que quando o tema é tendência as marcas que encontramos ao virar da esquina não vão deixar passar em claro. E é isso que me faz lembrar esta mini lapela nylon acolchoada da Bimba Y Lola. É pequena, mais quadrada, com uma alça para usar na mão, outra a tira-colo e uma referência ao logo da marca bem visível. Adorei a desconstrução do conceito, uma vez que optaram por um material mais desportivo, assim como a alça em laranja neon. BTW, e em defesa das malas pequenas, deixem-me dizer-vos que sou muito fã. Faz tempo ouvi que as malas devem ser proporcionais ao tamanho do nosso corpo, e isso fez tanto sentido. Na época usavam-se muito maxi bags, mas eu, do alto dos meus 1.63m, ficava realmente engolida ali no meio. Por isso hoje quase todas as malas que tenho são assim mais pequenas, e adoro. Claro que gostei imenso desta, que, por sinal, será mais funcional que uma Chiquito (uma vez que lhe conseguiria colar dentro mais coisas), mais barata também!

2 - Sabem aquelas amostras de cremes e perfumes que recebemos aquando de uma qualquer encomenda online na farmácia do costume? Bem, recebi esta amostra já há imenso tempo e noutro dia lá decidi experimentar, e adivinhem, e gostei mesmo muito. O Eau de Parfum Plein Soleil está disponível em diversos tamanhos, inclusive um para levar na mala, e tem um cheiro floral mas ao mesmo tempo fresco. Além disso cheguei ao fim do dia e ainda sentia o cheiro. Sem dúvida uma boa escolha para quando os meus eau de parfums chegarem ao fim.

3 - A Andreia lançou uma nova coleção de vernizes gel, a Magazine collection, composta por 6 tons, três dos quais estou a amar muito. Se são adeptas de verniz gel, pela sua duração e versatilidade, e se gostam de apostar em cores mais neutras no outono, estas são sem dúvida uma boa opção, porque vão combinar lindamente com qualquer tom de pele! Desde as misses flocos de neve, categoria à qual me aproximo, às misses chocolate quente, acho que estas cores vão resultar muito bem, discretas e super elegantes, já estou a queres experimentar. Muito!!

4 - Dizem os entendidos que somos a média das 5 pessoas com quem mais nos relacionamos. Nas redes sociais, e em tudo o que gira em torno delas, gosto de escolher seguir pessoas que de alguma forma me acrescentam algo, que até podem ter pontos de vista diferentes dos meus mas me ajudam a questionar e pensar, que de alguma maneira ajudam a elevar a minha média. E porque acho que estas duas almas são realmente interessantes, e porque amei de verdade esta troca de ideias, achei que era merecido partilhar aqui este que é o primeiro episódio do novo podcast do Diogo Faro - Desta Para Melhor. Vão lá ouvir, estou certa que vão gostar também!

5 - Numa das últimas passagens pelo shopping não resisti a entrar na Xtreme. Na verdade era das poucas lojas que não tinham uma fila de espera na entrada, e lá decidimos ir dar uma espreita! Estas WMNS Air Max 2090 estavam num manequim na entrada da loja e saltaram-me logo à vista. Lembro-me de andar no secundário, bem no início, e dizer que nunca na vida usaria saltos altos. A verdade é que mudei de ideias, não há nada que se iguale à elegância de um bom tacão, mas eu sempre amei os looks mais desportivos também, e ultimamente, e porque já não saímos tanto de casa para festas e jantaradas, e porque já não há tanto essa necessidade de nos emperiquitarmos, eu só quero andar assim, nuns bons pisos! Se é que me entendem!! Confortáveis como nenhum stiletto conseguiria ser, e bem estilosos. É isto sff!

I loved the deconstruction of the concept, since they opted for a sportier material, as well as the neon orange handle. BTW, and in defense of small suitcases, let me tell you that I am a huge fan. I heard a long time ago that bags should be proportional to our body size, and that made so much sense. At the time I used a lot of maxi bags, but I, from the top of my 1.63m, was really swallowed there. So today almost all the bags I have are smaller, and I love it. Of course, I really liked this one, which, by the way, will be more functional than a Chiquito (since I could stick more stuff inside), cheaper too!

2 - Do you know that little specimens of creams and perfumes we received when ordering something online at the usual pharmacy? Well, I received this sample a long time ago and on another day there I decided to try it, and guess what, I really liked it. The Eau de Parfum Plein Soleil is available in several sizes, including one to take in the suitcase, and it has a floral smell but at the same time fresh. Also I got to the end of the day and still smell it. Without a doubt a good choice for when my eau de perfumes come to an end.

3 - Andreia launches a new collection of gel polishes, the Magazine collection, consisting of 6 tons, three of which I love very much. If you are a fan of gel polish, for its duration and versatility, and if you like to bet on more neutral colors in the fall, these are undoubtedly a good option, because they will combine beautifully with any skin tone! From the snow flakes misses, category to which I approach, to the hot chocolate misses, I think these colors will work very well, discreet and super elegant, I already want to try. So much!!

4 - The experts say that we are the average of the 5 people with whom we report most. In social networks, and in everything that revolves around them, I like to choose to follow the people who somehow add something for me, who may even have different points of view than mine but make me question and think about what they are talking, people that somehow help to raise my average. And because I think these two souls are really interesting, and because I really loved this exchange of ideas, I thought it was worth sharing here this who is the first episode of Diogo Faro's new podcast called Desta Para Melhor. 5 - On one of the last visits to the mall I couldn't resist entering on Xtreme. In fact it was one of the stores that didn't have a waiting line at the entrance, and there we decided to take a look! These WMNS Air Max 2090 were on a mannequin at the entrance to the store and they cathced my eyes. I remember beeing in high school, at the very beginning, and saying that I would never wear high heels in my life. The truth is that I changed my mind, there is nothing that beats the elegance of a good heel, but I have always loved the sportier looks too, and lately, and because we no longer leave the house for parties and dinners, I just want to walk like that, in good sneakers! Comfortable as no stiletto could be, and very stylish. This is it!

Estão a ver aqueles packs de produtos que compramos pela altura do natal? Os tão habituais coffrets? Bem, estes três produtinhos vieram parar cá a casa na sequência de uma também habitual troca de prendas em jantares de natal, neste caso um jantar de primos! Calhou-me então este coffret, composto por creme de corpo, gel de banho e espuma de banho. Tinha-o guardado no gavetão da casa de banho, à espera que os produtos que tinha a uso terminassem. Entretanto comecei a usar estes e estou a gostar imenso, por isso decidi partilhar aqui convosco. Nunca tinha experimentado uma espuma de banho e adorei a sensação ao toque desta! É surreal como a pele fica macia e torna o banho uma experiência mais agradável. O cheiro é uma combinação floral e frutada, não muito intensa, mas bem agradável. A fixação não é muita, o que a mim me agrada, porque não gosto quando o cheiro do gel de banho se sobrepõe ao do perfume. Um plus, não tem parabenos!

E porque o natal está quase aí a chegar, e porque este será certamente um natal que não vamos esquecer, que ao menos ele não fique marcado pelas habituais peúgas e pijamas no sapatinho do nosso amigo secreto (que, devo confessar, eu adoro receber). Procurem por esta linha nas lojas, existem mais combinações de cheiros além desta, mas estou certa que quem a receber vai gostar tanto quanto eu! 

Do you know those product packs we buy around Christmas? Coffrets The usual coffrets? Well, these three products came to my house following an exchange of gifts usual at Christmas dinners, in this case a dinner of cousins! Then I got this coffret, composed of body cream, shower gel and shower foam. I had kept it in the bathroom drawer, waiting for the products that I had in use to finish. In the meantime I start using these and I'm really enjoying it, so I decided to share it here with you. I had never tried a bath foam before and I loved the feel of it! It is surreal how soft the skin is and how it makes bathing a more pleasant experience. The smell is a floral and fruity combination, not very intense, but very pleasant. The duration on skin is not much, which I like, because I don't like when the smell of the shower gel overlaps the perfume I put after. A plus, no parabens!

And because Christmas is almost here, and because this will certainly be a Christmas that we will not forget, that at least it wont be marked by the usual socks and pajamas on our secret friend's shoe (which, I must confess, I love to receive). Look for this line in stores, there are more smelling options besides this one, but I am sure that your secret friend will enjoy it as much as I do!

Plumes

Estamos na época das plumas, e se há ano em que elas estão super na moda é este. Estão por todo o lado, deixam de fazer parte da paisagem, daquele amontoado de ervas e plantas na berma de qualquer autoestrada, para fazer parte da decoração lá de casa (e não só). Já as vi em jarras no hall de entrada ou mesmo ao lado do espelho do closet, para compor aquela foto diária do outfit of the day. Já as vi inclusive em candeeiros, e sim, ficam lindas! Acho-as fofas mas não sei se as levava para dentro de casa. Acho que não encaixa na minha decoração, mas adoro ver! No entanto, e antes que elas voem bem longe numa provável rajada de vento, aproveitei e parei ali ao pé de umas quantas para fotografar, porque estava com um look giro e achei que o cenário era perfeito assim. E pronto, parece propositado, mas ultimamente tenho andado muito nestes tons, bem sazonais, e que combinam lindamente com a paisagem da época. Gosto cada vez mais de neutros, se bem que não nego um total red look, mas sinto-me confortável assim. A propósito, na quarentena passamos muito tempo de pijama e fato-de-treino, e não vejo mal nenhum nisso se vamos passar as horas do dia confinados a quatro paredes. Roupinha fofa, como as plumas, e bem confortável. No outro dia abri a minha gaveta das sweats e calções e calças de andar por casa, e deparei-me que os tons são bem assim, da cor das plumas, e pensei que está tudo certo!! Sabem aquela coisa da comida de conforto? Será que podemos aplica-la à roupa também? Aos tons e texturas do que vestimos? Acho que sim!!

We are in the time of feathers, and if there is a year when they are super trendy this is it. They are everywhere, they are no longer part of the landscape, that heap of herbs and plants on the side of any highway, to be part of the decoration at home (and not only). I've seen them in jars in the entrance hall or even next to the closet mirror, to compose that daily photo of the outfit of the day. I've even seen them in lamps, and yes, they look beautiful! I think they're cute but I don't know if I took them inside the house. I don't think it fits my decor, but I love to see it! However, and before they fly very far in a probable gust of wind, I took the opportunity and stopped there by a few to photograph, because I had a cute look and I thought the scenery was perfect like that. And ready, it seems purposeful, but lately I have been walking a lot in these tones, very seasonal, and that combine beautifully with the landscape of the time. I like neutrals more and more, although I don't deny a total red look, but I feel comfortable that way. By the way, in quarantine we spend a lot of time in pajamas and tracksuits, and I don't see any harm in that if we're going to spend the hours of the day confined to four walls. Cute clothes, like feathers, and very comfortable. The other day I opened my drawer for sweats and shorts and trousers to walk around the house, and I found that the shades are just like that, the color of the feathers, and I thought everything was fine!! Do you know that comfort food thing? Can we apply it to clothes too? The tones and textures of what we wear? I think so!!

Há uns tempos fiz umas sondagens nos stories do instagram para tentar perceber o que mais gostam de ler por aqui. Surpreendentemente vocês querem de tudo um pouco, e claro, as listas não ficaram de fora. Por isso, e se é listas que querem, aqui  vêm as listas! Compostas por peças de roupa, acessórios, livros, perfumes, séries... tudo o que me for apetecendo mostrar e sugerir-vos. Começamos com a lista de Outubro. Eu sei que já estamos a mais de meio do mês, mas antes tarde do que nunca não é?

1 & 2 - A nova coleção da Puma x Puma é uma colaboração entre o passado e futuro da marca, com inspiração no mundo do futebol e nas lendárias chuteiras KING de 1968 que foram usadas pelos reis da bola Pelé, Eusébio e Maradona. Composta por peças para homem e mulher, são tudo o que se quer quando o conforto é indispensável sem descurar o estilo. Estou muito in love por este conjunto de fato de treino!

3 - Não sei se já notaram mas as correntes estão em alta. Não apenas nos acessórios mas também em adornos em peças de roupa e malas. Para quem não se quer atrever a tanto e permite a tendência em acessórios apenas, a pulseira de elos Pandora Me é simplesmente perfeita. Está pensada para que se lhe coloquem pendentes, mas gosto dela simples assim.

4 - Sabem aquele livro que têm para ler e continua encostado na prateleira em modo lista de espera? Está na hora de o agarrar, e o timming não poderia ser melhor. Numa altura em que nos pedem para que fiquemos em casa, e com o tempo frio a voltar, sabe bem agarrar a manta mais fofa, sentar no sofá e ler, e se possível aprender com isso. Lagom é tudo o que precisamos agora. E se a leitura nos permitir ter uma vida melhor, ao estilo sueco, perfeito!

5 - Ouvi no rádio que a chuva chega esta semana, toda a semana. Não sei se já leram por aqui, mas mesmo não tendo eu nenhum problema com a chuva, não me agrada nada se tiver de andar na rua quando ela cai. Não gosto de me molhar e ficar com aquela sensação desconfortável de roupa colada no corpo e pés ensopados. Por isso, e se ela vem aí mesmo, e se é para nos molharmos, ao menos que seja com estilo. As ZELMA 01 são novidade, um upgrade às galochas mais básicas, e melhor de tudo, são vegan!

3 - I don't know if you've noticed but the currents are up. Not only in the accessories but also in adornments on clothes and bags. For those who don't want to dare so much and allow the trend in accessories only, the Pandora Me bracelet is just perfect. It's designed to be placed on pendants, but I like it that simple.

4 - Do you know that book you have to read and it is still leaning against the shelf in waiting list mode? It's time to grab it, and the timing couldn't be better. At a time when we are asked to stay at home, and with the cold weather coming back, it feels good to grab the cutest blanket, sit on the couch and read, and if possible learn from it. Lagom is all we need now. And if reading allows us to have a better life, in the Swedish style, perfect!

5 - I heard on the radio that the rain comes this week, all week. I don't know if you've read it here, but even though I have no problem with the rain, I don't like if I have to walk on the street when it falls. I don't like to get wet and get that uncomfortable feeling of clothes stuck to my body and soaked feet. So, if it comes right there, and if it is to get wet, unless it is in style.
