É o quinto livro que leio da autora, e não destoando da temática romance, este foi sem dúvida o mais diferente, única e exclusivamente pela forma como é apresentada a história.

Se nos outros livros que li a autora conta a história das personagens, aqui há momentos em que elas próprias narram a sua história, quase como se de um diário se tratasse.

Este romance conta a história de uma tia rica, Jolly, que morre de forma trágica e deixa a sua herança a uma sobrinha, Mirabella. Juntamente com a luxuosa mansão no sul de França, o quadro famoso, o colar de pérolas, enfim, a fortuna, chegam também uma série de acontecimentos inesperados e perigosos, que colocam a vida da personagem principal em risco.

Um romance de segredos e perigos, que vos vai manter agarrados de certeza!!

It's the fifth book I've read of the author, and not unlike the romance theme, this was without a doubt the most different, solely and exclusively because of the way the story is presented.

If in the other books I've read the author tells the story of the characters, here there are moments when they tell their own story, almost as if it were a diary.

This novel tells the story of a wealthy aunt, Jolly, who tragically dies and leaves her inheritance to a niece, Mirabella. Along with the luxurious mansion in the south of France, the famous painting, the pearl necklace, in short, the fortune, there are also a series of unexpected and dangerous events, which put the main character's life at risk.

A romance of secrets and dangers that will keep you hooked for sure!!

Pode até parecer mentira mas não é. Aliás, a única coisa que está relacionada com este post e uma qualquer mentira é única e exclusivamente o dia em que fotografei este look, dia 1 de abril.

Já não partilhava looks aqui no blog há imenso tempo, meses, e olhem que pelo meio usei uns quantos dignos de aqui estarem, e que quis até fotografar, mas não consegui… tenho até outras publicações preparadas, mas não partilhei também, porque afinal este blog fala de roupas e coisas do género, e não quero focar as minhas publicações apenas em listas do mês e livros (que, a propósito, tenho lido bem mais e adoroooo, porque deixou de ser algo que conseguia fazer a sério apenas nas férias de verão...). Entre trabalho, treinos, fotografar roupas para a Vinted, prepara envios para a Micolet, e outros tantos afazeres, tem-me sobrado pouco tempo para vir cá. Confesso que já tinha saudades.

Mas lá consegui que os planetas se alinhassem e tchanannnn!!! E só depois me apercebi que já usei um look muito parecido com este no verão. É, parece que há mesmo fórmulas seguras e que resultam sempre. Pelo menos eu gosto bem desta combinação de preto e branco mais vermelho. E vocês, aprovam?

I haven't shared looks here on the blog for a long time, months, and look that in between I wore a few worthy of being here, and I even wanted to photograph, but I couldn't… I even have other publications prepared, but I didn't share them either, because after all this one blog talks about clothes and things like that, and I don't want to focus my publications only on lists of the month and books (which, by the way, I've been reading a lot more and I love it, because it's no longer something I could do seriously only on vacation summer...). Between work, training, photographing clothes for Vinted, preparing shipments for Micolet, and so many other tasks, I have little time left to come here. I confess that I already missed it.

But there I managed to get the planets aligned and tchanannnn!!! And only later I realize that I already wore a look very similar to this one in the summer. Yes, it seems that there are safe formulas that always work. At least I like this combination of black and white plus red. And do you approve?

Ainda vamos a tempo de uma lista do mês? Claro que sim. Até porque a próxima será em modo dia dos namorados, por isso, e enquanto o mês não termina, e enquanto ainda temos saldos, aqui vai ela!

1 - Perfume bom é outro nível, não acham? É daquelas coisas que não se vê mas que sentindo faz toda a diferença no look. Afinal não é só a imagem que conta e comunica. Aposto que concordam comigo quando digo que uma pessoa bem cheirosa também comunica algo além da aparência. Pelo menos para mim é assim. E se é para usar perfume que seja algo em bom. Estes Gucci são perfeitos. Num frasco elegante (lá estão os olhos a comer), a versão feminina enquadra-se na família olfativa âmbar floral, e a masculina na amadeirada, mas sinceramente era menina para usar qualquer um dos dois. Frescos e elegantes, distintos e sofisticados, já os quero, aos dois. Uma vez mais, preciso? Nem de longe... Mas quero, como sempre!

2 - Acho as sapatilhas da New Balance muito giras. Têm uma vibe mais desportiva, alguns modelos a fazer lembrar a estética dos anos 80, aqueles looks desportivos da Princesa Diana ou os looks feios dos pais norte americanos (não é daí que vêm os daddy ugly shoes?). Tudo isso que está tão de alta ultimamente. Tenho umas New Balance, noutro modelo que nem sei qual, são super confortáveis, e como tal acho que facilmente escolheria outras desta marca se precisasse de umas sapatilhas novas. As 327 não são recentes mas acho-as muito bonitas! 

3 - Vocês que me conhecem estão já carecas de saber que eu adoro descontos, e que raramente compro fora da época de saldos. Gosto de apostar em peças básicas e de qualidade, e este casaco, não sendo o básico mais básico de sempre, é se dúvida uma aposta certeira para aqueles looks bem simples. Vejam bem como fica perfeito com jeans e t-shirt branca?! Adorooooooo, e num tecido estruturado, estilo tweed, a fazer lembrar Gabrielle Chanel. Preciso? Não, tenho bastantes casacos até, mas gosto e quero!

4 - Tenho duas pulseiras assim, ao estilo riviera, e acho-as mesmo elegantes. Nenhuma destas é desta marca, mas queria muito outra desta cor. Aliás, deixei escapar uma bem parecida com esta e depois arrependi-me. Entretanto, e para quem também acha bonito este tipo de pulseiras mais fininhas, perfeitas para combinar com outras tantas, com os relógios ou a solo, aqui fica uma boa dica. Esta Pandora está com um bom desconto, é em prata rodinada, zircónias douradas e fecho deslizante. Linda!!

Do we still in time for a list of the month? Yes, of course. Even because the next one will be in Valentine's Day mode, so, and while the month doesn't end, and while we still have sales, here it goes!

1 - Good perfume is another level, don't you think? It's one of those things that you can't see but feeling makes all the difference in the look. After all, it's not just the image that counts and communicates. I bet you agree with me when I say that a good-smelling person also communicates something beyond appearance. At least for me it's like that. And if you're going to wear perfume, let it be a good thing. These Gucci are perfect. In an elegant bottle (the eyes are eating there), the feminine version fits into the floral amber olfactory family, and the masculine one in the woody one, but honestly I could perfectly use anyone of them. Fresh and elegant, distinct and sophisticated, I already want them, both. One more time, do I? Not, by a long way... But I want to, as always!

2 - I think New Balance sneakers are really cute. They have a sportier vibe, some models reminiscent of the 80s aesthetic, those sporty Princess Diana looks or the ugly looks of North American parents (isn't that where the daddy ugly shoes come from?). All this that's been so high lately. I have a pair of New Balance, in another model that I don't even know which one, they are super comfortable, and as such I think I would easily choose others from this brand if I needed some new sneakers. The 327 are not recent but I think they are very beautiful!

3 - Those of you who know me are already baldheads to know that I love discounts, and that I also buy only in sales season, mainly. I like to bet on basic and quality pieces, and this coat, not being the most basic ever, is for sure a good bet for those very simple looks. See how perfect it looks with jeans and a white t-shirt?! I love it, and in a structured fabric, a tweed style, remembering Gabrielle Chanel. Need? No, I even have a lot of coats, but I like it and I want it!

4 - I have two bracelets like that, riviera style, and I think they're really elegant. They are not from this brand, but I really want another one in this color. In fact, I found a similat to this one but didn't buy it, and then I regretted it. However, and for those who also find this type of thinner bracelets beautiful, perfect to combine with many others, with watches or solo, here is a good tip. This Pandora is at a good discount, it's in rhodium plated silver, golden stones and sliding zipper. Beautiful!!

Estão a ver aqueles livros que acabam invariavelmente na secção de autoajuda das livrarias que conhecemos? Não foi assim que encontrei este, só porque não o comprei numa dessas lojas, mas estou certa que era lá, nesse secção, que o encontraria. E isto não tem nada de depreciativo, acho que estes livros são excelentes formas de nos fazer pensar e questionar determinados temas.

Comprei-o já faz tempo e estava ali na lista de espera de livros a ler. É sem dúvida um livro dentro desse espectro, com textos bem interessantes sobre temas diferentes, que nos fazem parar para pensar se também concordamos com aquilo que a autora fala. Os temas dos vários capítulos não estão necessariamente interligados, e confesso que gostei mais dos iniciais porque foram os que para mim fizeram mais sentido.

É um livro de leitura simples e acessível, facilmente interpretável. Se querem uma leitura leve e que ainda assim vos ajude a lidar melhor com a vida, a direcionar as vossas energias para o que realmente interessa, com vista a um bem estar geral, este livro é sem dúvida uma escolha acertada.

Do you see those books that invariably end up in the self-help section of the bookstores we know? That's not how I found this one, just because I didn't buy it in one of those stores, but I'm sure it was there, in that section, that I would find it. And this is not derogatory at all, I think these books are excellent ways to make us think and question certain topics.

I bought it a long time ago and it was there on the waiting list of books to read. It's undoubtedly a book within this spectrum, with very interesting texts on different topics, which make us stop to wonder if we also agree with what the author says. The themes of the various chapters are not necessarily interconnected, and I confess that I liked the initial ones the most because they were the ones that made the most sense to me.

It's a simple and accessible book, easily interpretable. If you want a light reading that still helps you to deal with life in a better way better, to direct your energies to what really matters, with a view to general well-being, this book is undoubtedly the right choice.

Resolutions #2022

Até quando podemos falar de resoluções de ano novo? É janeiro, o mês todo, tempo legítimo para tal? Ou só podemos falar destas coisas na primeira semana do ano? Creio que não, mas não estou certa de que isto já não venha fora de prazo. Quero contudo deixar aqui registado algumas das minhas resoluções, assim em jeito de compromisso, porque sei bem que escrever estas coisas é uma das táticas para interiorizar, e assim para as atingir, e sei também que vindo aqui assumi-las publicamente é outra tática para que as coisas não fiquem empatadas na caixinha da procrastinação, do “amanhã trato disso”. Vamos então falar de três dos meus objetivos, aqueles mais relacionados com aquilo que aqui discorremos.

Este ano quero mesmoooooo muito destralhar, aliás, continuar a destralhar. Já me inscrevi num mercado de venda de coisas em segunda mão (que me surpreendeu bastante), quero inscrever-me de novo, mas enquanto isso não é possível já tenho conta na Vinted, e apesar do trabalho associado à venda de coisas em segunda mão, quero muito continuar. Porque estou cansada de ter tanta tralha em casa, porque quero uma vida mais simples e fácil (Estão a ver aqueles minutos de manhã quando temos de decidir o que vestir? É isso, quero muito otimizar!), porque não preciso ou porque já não me servem os meus objetivos e propósitos.

E já que falamos em propósito vamos à segunda resolução, porque é disto mesmo que se trata. Quero muito também continuar as minhas compras conscientes. E não queiram com isto entender que vou comprar só com marcas sustentáveis e altamente éticas e, maioritariamente e não erradamente, caríssimas. Para mim comprar de forma consciente é saber o que estou a comprar essencialmente, o que se traduz em grande parte em comprar MENOS. Perceber a composição das roupas é primordial para entender se vão durar. Há muito que tenho esse hábito de ler etiquetas e acreditem que ajuda a excluir muita (mesmo muitaaaaaaa) roupa gira que na verdade não presta para nada. Perceber se estou a comprar uma peça que é intemporal ou é tendência, e daqui a duas estações já não posso ver mais à frente, é outro fator de decisão que não descuro. Perceber se estou a comprar algo com um preço justo para a utilização que vou dar também. Entendem? Basicamente quero comprar menos e melhor. Já tenho este objetivo há muito tempo, confesso que no início é difícil de atingir. Pensava e queria muito isto, de verdade, mas acabava todas as épocas de saldos a gastar um dinheirão na mesma. No entanto acho que já cheguei lá e quero continuar. Se querem também mas ainda não conseguem por em prática não desanimem, até porque ter consciência de que é necessário mudar é o primeiro passo para a mudança.

Por fim quero mesmo muito voltar aqui ao blog. Na verdade nunca deixei de cá estar, abro o blog praticamente todos os dias, mas quando não publico é porque não consigo mesmo tempo. Mas quero conseguir organizar-me de forma a vir cá mais regularmente, com conteúdo. Quero muito voltar a partilhar looks aqui, as viagens, as tendências, as novidades, o que ando a ler, enfim, tantas coisas! E não venham nem dizer-me que isto está morto e ninguém lê que eu bem vejo as estatísticas!

Tudo o resto são resoluções bem pessoais, profissionais, e uma ou outra daquelas que não queremos partilhar até atingir? Sabem? Não me levem a mal, mas quando lá chegarmos vocês vão saber! Por isso espero que esta partilha dos meus objetivos também vos inspire a correr atrás dos vossos e, acima de tudo, que estejam bem e que eu possa contar convosco aí desse lado! Voltem sempre!!

How long can we talk about New Year's resolutions? Is January, the whole month, a legitimate time for this? Or can we only talk about these things in the first week of the year? I don't think so, but I'm not sure this hasn't come out of date. However, I would like to register here some of my resolutions, as a compromise, because I know that writing these things is one of the tactics to internalize them, and thus to achieve them, and I also know that coming here to publicly assume them is another tactic to that things don't get stuck in the box of procrastination, of "I'll deal with it tomorrow". So let's talk about three of my goals, those more related to what we're talking about here.

This year I really want to declutter, in fact, continue to declutter. I have already signed up to a market for selling second-hand things (which surprised me a lot), I want to sign up again, but in the meantime I already have a Vinted account, and despite the work associated with selling second-hand things, I really want to continue. Because I'm tired of having so much junk at home, because I want a simpler and easier life (Do you see those minutes in the morning when we have to decide what to wear? That's it, I really want to optimize!), because I don't need to or because it don't serve my goals and purposes.

And since we're talking about purpose, let's move on to the second resolution, because that's what it's all about. I also really want to continue my conscious purchases. And don't mean by this that I'm going to buy only sustainable and highly ethical brands and, mostly and not wrongly, very expensive. For me, buying consciously is knowing what I'm essentially buying, which largely translates into buying LESS. Understanding the composition of clothes is essential to understand if they will last. I've had this habit of reading labels for a long time and believe me it helps to exclude a lot of (even a lot of) cute clothes that are actually good for nothing. Figuring out if I'm buying a piece that is timeless or trendy, and in two seasons I can't see it further, is another decision factor that I don't neglect. Understand if I'm buying something with a fair price for the use I'm going to give it too. Do you understand? Basically I want to buy less and better. I've had this goal for a long time, I confess that in the beginning it's difficult to achieve. I thought about this and really wanted this, but I ended up spending a lot of money on all sales seasons. However, I think I've gotten there and I want to continue. If you also want to but still can't put it into practice, don't be discouraged, because being aware that it's necessary to change is the first step towards change.

Finally, I really want to come back to the blog. In fact, I never stopped being here, I open the blog practically every day, but when I don't publish it's because I don't have the time. But I want to be able to organize myself in order to come here more regularly, with content. I really want to share looks again here, travels, trends, news, what I've been reading, in short, so many things! And don't even tell me that this is dead and nobody reads that I can see the statistics!

All the rest are very personal, professional resolutions, and one or another of those that we don't want to share until we reach? Do you know? Don't get me wrong, but when we get there you'll know! So I hope that this sharing of my goals also inspires you to run after yours and, above all, that you are well and that I can count on you there on that side! Always come back!!

Hey again! Parece que ultimamente é este o início de cada post aqui no blog. Lamento-me por ter demorado a voltar cá, mas a verdade é que há sempre tarefas mais prioritárias que ocupam o meu dia, e sendo este espaço apenas um hobby, acaba muitas vezes arrumado para fim das prioridades. Não sei se são como eu, mas tenho por hábito fazer uma lista com as tarefas que tenho para realizar. Aliás, aponto tudo numa agenda antiga, que nunca foi usada para tal, e pode perfeitamente ser aproveitada como caderno. Escrevo e vou riscando cada tarefa que concluo. Acreditem que me dá muito gozo cada vez que faço check numa tarefa concluída. Mas a lista é enorme, vai diminuindo e aumentando, mas ainda não consegui volta a coloca-la no zero.

Isto para dizer que, como já se devem ter apercebido, aqui deste lado as coisas podem até tardar mas não falham. Tenho uma série de conteúdo para partilhar por aqui, e ele virá. Entretanto, no dia destas fotos, fui tratar de mais um assunto pendente da minha lista, assunto esse que talvez tenham até interesse em saber. Se conhecem este lugar podem muito bem já estar com a pulga atrás da orelha. E pronto, já vos deixei até duas pistas! Alguém adivinha o que andei a aprontar?

Hey again! It seems that lately this is the beginning of every post here on the blog. I'm sorry for having taken so long to get back here, but the truth is that there are always more priority tasks that occupy my day, and as this space is just a hobby, it often ends up being put to the end of priorities. I don't know if you're like me, but it's my habit to make a list of the tasks I have to do. By the way, I point out everything in an old diary, which was never used for taht, and can perfectly be used as a notebook. I write and cross off each task I complete. Believe me that it gives me a lot of enjoyment every time I check a completed task. But the list is huge, it keeps getting smaller and bigger, but I still haven't been able to put it back to zero.

This is to say that, as you may have already noticed, here on this side things can take a while, but they don't fail. I have a lot of content to share around here, and it will come. However, on the day of these photos, I went to deal with another pending issue on my list, a subject that you might even be interested in knowing. If you know this place, you might as well have a flea in your ear. And that's it, I've left you up to two clues! Anyone guess what I've been up to?

Sombras de Paixão Elizabeth Adler

Demasiado tempo desde que apareci aqui com uma review de um livro? Sim, certamente. Pelo meio as férias, outros dois livros que comecei e não terminei, uma ou outra revista da Vogue (que leio do início ao fim sem saltar nada de nada), e as férias...  Se antes só conseguia organizar-me e ter tempo para ler nas férias, isso mudou. A pandemia permitiu-me, entre muitas coisas, adquirir um novo hábito que me ajuda a ter tempo decente para ler durante a semana, mas deixemo-nos de conversa e passemos ao que interessa aqui!

Este é o quarto livro que leio da autora e continuo a gostar muito. Nele, e sem querer revelar a história, a autora conta o percurso de Léonie, que chega a Paris ainda jovem, vinda da França rural. A adolescente tímida e ingénua começa por ter trabalhos menores, mas cresce e acaba a tornar-se uma estrela à escala internacional. Pelo meio a história conta todos os seus casos amorosos, assim como privações e infortúnios, sempre envolvida num mundo deslumbrante, de riqueza, paixão e poder. A vida de Léonie passa por Paris, Cote d’Azur, Brasil, Cairo, Nova Iorque, e as descrições da autora fazem-nos sonhar com cada um destes lugares também. Termina, não com a morte da personagem principal, como cheguei a achar que acabaria, mas de forma um tanto ao quanto surpreendente. Um livro leve, com uma historia envolvente, romance e paixão como é já assinatura da autora. Se gostam deste tipo de livros este é imperdível.

Too long since I showed up here with a book review? Yes, certainly. We pass through the holidays, two other books that I started and didn't finish, one or another Vogue magazine (which I read from beginning to end without skipping anything), and the holidays... If before I could only organize myself and have time to read on vacation, that has changed. The pandemic allowed me, among many things, to acquire a new habit that helps me have decent time to read during the week, but let's stop talking and let's get down to business here!

This is the fourth book I read by the author and I continue to enjoy it a lot. In it, and without wanting to reveal the story, the author tells the journey of Léonie, who arrived in Paris at a young age, coming from rural France. The shy and naive teenager starts with smaller jobs, but grows up to become a star on an international scale. In between the story tells all of her love affairs, as well as hardships and misfortunes, always involved in a dazzling world of wealth, passion and power. Léonie's life spans Paris, Cote d'Azur, Brazil, Cairo, New York, and the author's descriptions make us dream of each of these places as well. It ends, not with the death of the main character, as I thought it would, but in a somewhat surprising way. A light book, with an engaging story, romance and passion as the author's signature. If you like this type of book this is a must.

Hey sumida!! Pois é, agosto foi um mês cheio de posts, houve férias de verão e depois delas fui atropelada pela rotina, mas disso falamos melhor noutro post. Antes que o mês acabe e que eu vos deixe de novo orfãos de lista do mês, aqui vem ela!

1 - É certo e sabido que depois de uma época de guerra a moda surge sempre em grande, exuberante, excêntrica, a mostrar com tudo e mais alguma coisa que saiu finalmente de casa. Foi assim depois das grandes guerras mundiais, e esta, que foi também uma guerra à escala global, não nos deixa margem para dúvidas. Vamos sair do pijama, do fato de treino, e encarar os dias lá fora com tudo a que temos direitos. Cristais gigantes no pescoço, nas orelhas e nos dedos... que não nos falte nada, deve ter sido essa a premissa da Swarovski. Os acessórios querem-se MAXI de novo, e eu estou a gostar até (acho que isto merece um "Trend Alert!"). Não fosse o preço ser tão alto e já me atirava de cabeça.

2 - Agora que o verão acabou podemos finalmente pensar em perfumes fortes de novo! Há quem ache que não existem perfumes de inverno e de verão, eu cá prefiro deixar os doces e florais para os dias frios, acho que dias quentes com perfumes assim se tornam facilmente enjoativos. E longe de mim querer enjoar alguém com a minha presença! Ahahahah!! Se pensam como eu, e estão à procura de perfume novo, acho boa aposta este novo Black Opium Extreme. Tenho o frasco azul, que é o Intenso, e adoro. Dos perfumes que tenho com melhor cheiro e fixação.

3 - "Eu não preciso de camisas brancas. Eu não preciso de camisas brancas. Eu não preciso de camisas brancas!!". Repitam comigo. Certo, não preciso, certo também que quero sempre mais e que elas nunca falham nas minhas wishlists. Certo também que na hora da verdade tenho resistido lindamente a este meu amor por camisas brancas. Mas a verdade é que camisas brancas são um básico tão incontornável como jeans e sapatos pretos. Destacam-se aqui os detalhes que fazem toda a diferença se querem um look básico com um toque diferenciador. A-do-ro!!!

4 - Estão a ver como começamos com a camisa branca? Basicamente acontece o mesmo quando o assunto são sapatilhas brancas. Preciso? Não. Quero? Yes, of course, yes! Adoro este modelo K100 da Sanjo. Não tenho nenhumas, não sei se são confortáveis, mas acho tão giro! Como se não bastasse, esta nova versão recorre ao Burel, um tecido feito em 100% lã natural e resistente à água. Diretamente da Serra da Estrela em grande estilo, tudo para nos deixar quentinhos e secos nos dias frios e chuvosos que já estão ali ao virar da esquina. 100% português, 100% vegan, palavra de Sanjo. 200% COOL, palavra de Jo!

5 - Este item devia ter aparecido aqui na lista do mês passado, que não existiu. Como tal, aparece agora. Setembro é o mês dos regressos a casa. Estava ansiosa por voltar de férias e ter a perceção do cheiro da minha casa. Porque nos dias corridos da rotina já nem notamos o cheiro dela. É preciso distanciamento para o sentir de novo. E eu amei o cheiro da minha casa quando voltei das férias de verão. E amei de novo quando voltei das férias em Roma este mês. Este ambientador é só uma delícia de tão agradável e sofisticado que é! Recomento!

Hey missing girl!! Well, August was a month full of posts, there was a summer vacation and after that I was run over by the routine, but we talk about that better in another post. Before the month is over and I have orphaned you from the list of the month again, here it comes!

1 - It's true and well known that after a time of war fashion always appears in a big way, exuberant, eccentric, showing to everything and anyone that we finally left home. It was like that after the great world wars, and this one, which was also a war on a global scale, leaves us no room for doubt. Let's get out of our pajamas, out of our tracksuit, and face the days out there with everything we're entitled to. Giant crystals on the neck, on the ears and on the fingers... that we don't lack anything, that must have been the premise of Swarovski. Accessories want to be MAXI again, and I'm even enjoying it (I think this deserves a "Trend Alert!"). If it weren't for the price being so high, I would have almost threw myself headfirst. 

2 - Now that summer is over we can finally think about strong perfumes again! Some people think that winter and summer perfumes don't exist, I prefer to leave the sweets and florals for cold days, I think that hot days with perfumes like that become easily cloying. And far from me wanting to sicken someone with my presence! Ahahahah!! If you think like me, and are looking for a new perfume, I think this new Black Opium Extreme is a good bet. I have the blue bottle, which is the Intenso, and I love it. Of the perfumes I have with the best smell and fixation.

3 - "I don't need white shirts. I don't need white shirts. I don't need white shirts!!". Repeat with me. Right, I don't need it, right also that I always want more and they never fail my wishlists. It's also true that in the moment of truth I have beautifully resisted this love for white shirts. But the truth is that white shirts are as essential a basic as jeans and black shoes. Highlights here are the details that make all the difference if you want a basic look with a distinctive touch. I-lo-ve-it!!! 

4 - Did you see how we started with the white shirt? Basically the same happens when it comes to white sneakers. I need? No. I want it? Yes, of course, yes! I love this Sanjo K100 model. I don't have any, I don't know if they're comfortable, but I think it's so cute! As if that wasn't enough, this new version uses Burel, a fabric made of 100% natural and water resistant wool. 5 - This item should have appeared here on last month's list, which didn't exist. As such, it appears now. September is a homecoming month. I was looking forward to coming back from vacation and getting a sense of the smell of my house. Because in the busy days of routine we don't even notice her smell. We need to takes distance to feel it again. And I loved the smell of my house when I got back from summer vacation. And I loved it again when I got back from my vacation in Rome this month. This air freshener is just a delight, so nice and sophisticated it is! I recommend!

Quem mais chega às caixas de pagamento das lojas Zara e deita a mão, ou melhor, o nariz, aos frascos de perfumes que lá estão expostos? Eu, tantas vezes… faço-o numa ideia de jogo, de modo a eleger o que mais gosto, mas desta vez seria impossível, asseguro-vos.

O assunto não é novo por aqui, já vos recomendei estes perfumes na “Lista do mês de Julho” e quem me segue no instagram também viu esta publicação onde vos contei porque comprei o Discovery Set.

Zara Emotions by Jo Malone CBE é o resultado da parceria entre a globalmente conhecida Zara e a já muito aclamada perfumista londrina Jo Malone. Estes Eau de Parfum viram a luz do dia a 15 de Novembro de 2019, mas vinham sendo desenvolvidos desde 2018. Eu confesso que só dei por ela um ano depois. Como?! Como assim? Estava a viver debaixo de uma pedra certamente. Isso ou isto são tudo consequências da pandemia. A verdade é que esta colaboração, que resultou num conjunto de perfumes, velas, shampoo, gel de banho e de mãos e body lotions, prometia, e não falhou.

Foquemos então nos perfumes, que são unissexo, coisa que a mim me agrada bastante, porque gosto dessa ideia de que o cheiro não tem género! Criados a pensar na herança de ambas as marcas, as 8 fragrâncias buscam uma simplicidade elegante, estética intemporal e sofisticação. Cada uma delas conta uma história, coisa bem comum vindo de Jo Malone. A perfumista recorreu a ingredientes que ama há anos e o resultado não podia ser menos do que brilhante. Tudo isto sem esquecer o packaging, livre de plásticos, com frascos e embalagens limpos, de linhas depuradas, simples e elegantes.

Esta coleção é, como descreveram na Elle, para todos aqueles que gostam de champagne mas têm um orçamento para cerveja, e eu não podia achar melhor descrição para isto. Chiques, refinados, sofisticados, com personalidade, diferentes, tudo isto e ainda assim acessíveis. Como diria a Mariama Barbosa, numa adaptação do título do seu livro, “só cheira mal quem quer”. O difícil mesmo é escolher!

Notem que este foi apenas o primeiro resultado desta parceria, em Abril deste ano surgiram já mais fragrâncias. Sem dúvida algo a ter debaixo de olho, ou melhor, tal como iniciei este texto, debaixo do nariz. Vamos lá saber então qual a história por detrás de cada uma destas fragrâncias, as suas notas e a fixação (lembrando que são EDP).

The subject is not new here, I have already recommended these perfumes to you in the “List of the month of July” and whoever follows me on instagram also saw this publication where I told you why I bought the Discovery Set.

Zara Emotions by Jo Malone CBE is the result of a partnership between the globally renowned Zara and the already highly acclaimed London perfumer Jo Malone. These Eau de Parfum saw the light of day on November 15, 2019, but had been in development since 2018. I confess that I only noticed it a year later. What?! How is this possible? I was living under a rock for sure. This or this is all consequences of the pandemic. The truth is that this collaboration, which resulted in a set of perfumes, candles, shampoo, shower and hand gel and body lotions, promised, and didn't fail.

So let's focus on perfumes, which are unisex, which I like a lot, because I like this idea that smell has no gender! Created with the heritage of both brands in mind, the 8 fragrances seek elegant simplicity, timeless aesthetics and sophistication. Each of them tells a story, something very common coming from Jo Malone. The perfumer turned to ingredients she's loved for years and the result couldn't be less than brilliant. All this without forgetting the packaging, free of plastics, with clean bottles and packaging, with clean lines, simple and elegant.

This collection is, as described in Elle, for all those who like champagne but have a budget for beer, and I couldn't think of a better description for it. Chic, refined, sophisticated, with personality, different, all this and yet affordable. As Mariama Barbosa would say, in an adaptation of the title of her book, “only someone who wants will smell bad”. The hard part is choosing!

Note that this was just the first result of this partnership, in April of this year, more fragrances have already appeared. Undoubtedly something to have under your eye, or rather, as I started this text, under your nose. Let's get to know the story behind each of these fragrances, their notes and fixation (remembering that they are EDP).

WATERLILY TEA DRESS

Com notas de bergamota, almíscar e hortelã. É floral e frutado, ligeiramente intenso. Fixação média.

With notes of bergamot, musk and mint. It's floral and fruity, not very intense. Medium fixation.

EBONY WOOD

“Aquele momento de liberdade e descuido quando as aventuras estão para começar.”

Tem notas de pimenta rosa, cravo e madeira de ébano. É de todos o mais amadeirado mas também o achei floral. É doce e intenso. De todos o que tem a melhor fixação.

"That moment of freedom and carelessness when adventures are about to begin."

It has notes of pink pepper, cloves and ebony wood. It's the most woody of all, but I also found it floral. It's sweet and intense. Of all who have the best fixation.

VETIVER PAMPLEMOUSSE

“Uma camisa de algodão branco com toques de colónia cítrica, um acessório para o dia-a-dia.”

Com notas de vetiver, tangerina e toranja, é frutado e cítrico, fresco e suave, ideal para dias quentes. Dos que tem menor fixação.

With notes of vetiver, tangerine and grapefruit, it's fruity and citrus, fresh and smooth, ideal for hot days. The one that have less fixation.

BOHEMIAN BLUEBELLS

“Uma fragrância que respira um espírito boêmio, cheio de coragem e poder hipnótico, diferente de tudo que você já sentiu antes.”

Com notas de lavanda, sândalo e almíscar, perfeito para quem gosta de aromas frescos e limpas. Achei a fixação média.

With notes of lavender, sandalwood and musk, perfect for those who like fresh and clean aromas. I found it medium fixation.

AMALFI SUNRAY

“Tantas recordações felizes do verão, das férias na Riviera italiana.”

É uma fragrância com notas de bergamota, tangerina e flor de laranjeira. Inspirado na costa italiana, ideal para quem gosta de cítricos, mas a mim também me pareceu bastante floral. Não sei porquê mas há algo nele que me fez lembrar os cremes de bebé. Fixação média.

“So many happy memories of summer, of vacationing on the Italian Riviera.”

It's a fragrance with notes of bergamot, mandarin and orange blossom. Inspired by the Italian coast, ideal for those who like citrus, but it also seemed quite floral to me. I don't know why but there's something about him that reminded me of baby creams. Medium fixation.

FLEUR DE PATCHOULI

“Como um par de olhos que te observam, este perfume empurra-te para ires mais longe, para expressares a tua criatividade.”

É uma fragrância profunda, cativante e intensa, com notas de flor de patchouli, peónia e madeira de guaiaco. Achei-o floral e amadeirado, doce e com boa fixação.

“Like a pair of eyes watching you, this perfume pushes you to go further, to express your creativity.”

It's a deep, captivating and intense fragrance, with notes of patchouli flower, peony and guaiac wood. I found it floral and woody, sweet and with good fixation.

FLEUR D’ORANGER

“Devemos sempre celebrar os momentos de felicidade com flor de laranjeira.”

Sem margem para dúvidas, esta fragrância tem notas de flor de laranjeira. Além dela contamos com notas de néroli e ylang ylang. Floral, frutado, cítrico, fresco mas doce. Achei boa a fixação.

“We should always celebrate moments of happiness with orange blossom.”

Undoubtedly, this fragrance has orange blossom notes. Besides it we have notes of neroli and ylang ylang. Floral, fruity, citrus, fresh but sweet. I thought the fixation was good.

TUBEREUSE NOIR

“A simples nota de tuberosa é mais luxuosa que um par de diamantes.”

Com notas de ylang ylang, tuberosa e sândalo, é uma fragrância misteriosa e vibrante. Achei-o floral, ligeiramente frutado e fresco. Tem uma fixação média.

With notes of ylang ylang, tuberose and sandalwood, it's a mysterious and vibrant fragrance. I found it floral, slightly fruity and fresh. It has a medium fixation.

1 - Foi encomendada pela Netflix em 2019 e estreou em 14 de maio deste ano e se ainda não viram e são fãs de moda, devem mesmo ver! Esta minissérie é baseada no livro Silply Halston, de Steven Gaines, e retrata a vida do designer americano que foi um verdadeiro ícone do seu tempo. Roy Halston Frowick foi revolucionário e as suas criações definiram a moda dos anos 70 e 80 em Nova York. Começou como criador de chapéus e a fama surgiu, em 1961, quando Jackie Kennedy usou uma das suas criações na tomada de posse do marido, o presidente John F. Kennedy. Daí para a criação de roupa foi um passo. Linhas limpas e materiais de qualidade eram a sua imagem de marca. Peças intemporais que ainda hoje seriam perfeitamente usáveis e que continuam a inspirar designers em todo o mundo.

Rodeado de um clã famosíssimo, como Liza Minnelli, Bianca Jagger e Andy Warhol, Halston vivia num mundo de luxo, status, fama, glamour, drama, festas, sexo e excessos. A sua história é no entanto decadente, depois de más decisões na empresa, que a tornam um fiasco, e depois de ser diagnosticado com SIDA. Não deixa no entanto de ser uma referência no mundo da moda. Acho que devem mesmo ver!

2 - A H&M é já conhecida pelas suas parcerias com designers famosos que nos permitem ter acesso a peças especiais a um preço acessível. Desta é a vez de Sabyasachi Mukherjee, o designer mais famoso da Índia. A sua marca já vestiu diversas estrelas de Bollywood, assim como noivas como Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra e Anushka Sharma.As suas criações são coloridas, vibrandes e artesanais, tudo isto recorrendo à rica história têxtil da Índia. Nesta coleção são misturadas silhuetas modernas e tradicionais com um piscar de olhos ao athleisure e glamping. E este vestido fluído é apenas um sonho. Eu amo! Além dele esta coleção conta com looks completos para mulher e homem, incluindo acessórios. Vai estar disponível online e em lojas seleccionadas.

3 - Agosto é sinónimo de mergulhos no mar e de sol, muito sol. Pelo menos aqui deste lado é assim. E se nem sempre me preocupei muito com a proteção, hoje é diferente. Vi há dias a linda, e sabida, Joana a falar deste produto  que está a usar e fiquei curiosa. É um véu capilar que cria uma tela protetora anti desidratação no cabelo, invisível e não oleosa, e o protege do sol, do mar e do cloro. Tem filtro UV, cheiro de jasmim e musqueta e promete hidratar e preservar o brilho que tantas vezes se apaga nesta altura de férias. Pode ser usado no cabelo seco ou molhado, antes e durante a exposição, por isso bem simples e fácil.

Já quero experimentar!! Entretanto há mais sugestões de produtos semelhantes no site da Beautyst.

4 - Sabem aquelas séries que nos trocam as voltas, nada previsíveis, que nos obrigam a estar atentos para entender o enredo? Se gostam de suspanse, crime e ação esta é para vós. Conta já com duas temporadas, e sem querer dar spoiler, conta a história de uma rapariga que foi morta, e o seu irmão, Álex, é acusado da sua morte e preso. Inocente que é cumpre a pena e quando regressa da cadeia quer vingar-se e provar que foi incriminado pelo homicídio da irmã, o que o leva a descobrir muito mais do que apenas o verdadeiro culpado pelo crime. Isto promete, daquelas séries que me fez ver mais do que um episódio de seguida porque não aguentei a curiosidade. Recomendo!

From there to the creation of clothing was a step. Clean lines and quality materials were his trademark. Timeless pieces that would still be perfectly wearable today and that continue to inspire designers around the world.

Surrounded by a famous clan such as Liza Minnelli, Bianca Jagger and Andy Warhol, Halston lived in a world of luxury, status, fame, glamour, drama, parties, sex and excess. His story is however decadent, after bad decisions in the company, which make it a fiasco, and after being diagnosed with AIDS. However, he is still a reference in the fashion world. I really think you should see it!

2 - H&M is already known for its partnerships with famous designers that allow us to have access to special pieces at an affordable price. This is the turn of Sabyasachi Mukherjee, India's most famous designer. Her brand has dressed numerous Bollywood stars, as well as brides such as Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma. Her creations are colourful, vibrant and handcrafted, all drawing on India's rich textile history. In this collection modern and traditional silhouettes are blended with a snap to athleisure and glamping. And this flowing dress is just a dream. I love! Besides him, this collection has complete looks for women and men, including accessories. It will be available online and at select stores.

3 - August is synonymous with diving in the sea and sun, lots of sun. At least here on this side it's like that. And if I haven't always been very concerned about protection, today it's different. A few days ago I saw the beautiful and well-known Joana talking about this product she is using and I was curious. It's a hair veil that creates an invisible, non-greasy, anti-dehydration protective screen on the hair and protects it from the sun, sea and chlorine. It has a UV filter, jasmine and musket scent and promises to hydrate and preserve the shine that so often fades out at this time of vacation. It can be used on dry or wet hair, before and during exposure, so it's very simple and easy.

4 - Do you know those series that change turns, unpredictable, that force us to be attentive to understand the plot? If you like suspanse, crime and action this is for you. It already has two seasons, and without wanting to spoiler, it tells the story of a girl who was killed, and her brother, Alex, is sentenced to prison because of Sara's death. Innocent that he is, after serving his sentence and when he returns from jail, he wants revenge and proves that he is innocent for his sister's murder, which leads him to discover much more than just the real culprit in the crime. This promises, from those series that made me watch more than one episode in a row because I couldn't stand the curiosity. I recommend it!

Ficamos pelo caminho no último “New in!”, que já ia longoooooooooo.

Hoje venho mostrar-vos coisas novas, mas nada de trapos. Acessórios e cosmética, porque nem só de trapos vive uma mulher!

Os acessórios são na maioria das vezes os detalhes que fazem toda a diferença. Quem concorda põe a mão no ar! Quero ver essas mãos e esses pulsos ornamentados! É assim que vou estar. Recebi duas pulseiras nos meus anos. Uma ao estilo escrava, da Calvin Klein. Gosto imenso das joias desta marca, acho-as irreverentes e ainda assim elegantes. Esta com a pérola na ponta é mesmo muito bonita, perfeita para juntar ao relógio e a outras pulseiras ou para usar a solo. Depois uma de brilhantes da marca espanhola Salvatore Plata. Já me tinham oferecido uma igual noutra cor e desta vez ganhei a azul. Uma vez mais, perfeita para combinar com outras pulseiras que já tenho ou apenas para usar com a outra igual.

E dos pulsos seguimos até aos dedos. Julho foi o mês do meu aniversário e achei o pretexto ideal para me presentear. Deixei-me então levar pelos brilhos e não resisti a este anel Swarovski com cristais brancos e amarelos. O meu pai sempre diz “se brilha ela gosta”, e é verdade mesmo, não resisto. Fiquei indecisa com as outras combinações de cores disponíveis, na verdade queria-os a todos, mas achei que um era suficiente e que esta junção de cores seria a mais fácil de usar. Acreditem que ele é ainda mais bonito ao vivo!

Controlei-me na Swarovki mas o mesmo já não aconteceu com este anel de brilhantes da Pandora. Aproveitei que tenho os dedos mínimos e encontrei um anel na medida do meu dedo anelar, algo que já queria há algum tempo, a um preço delicioso. Sabem aquelas pessoas que encontram sempre bons achados em tamanhos de roupa mínimos ou enormes, por serem os que sobram sempre nos saldos? Bem, comigo isso acontece com os anéis. Empolguei-me, qual senhora dos anéis, e não fiquei por aqui. Encontrei mais este dourado na Stone by Stone, também com brilhantes, claro, e lindo quando misturado com os prateados que abundam na minha coleção. Adoro ver dourados e prateados juntos, fica lindo, afinal são tudo tons metálicos, mas prometo que me vou ficar por aqui e que tão cedo não compro anéis!

E já que estamos com as mãos ao ar que tal passa-las pela cabeça. O melhor é que esteja protegida. Estava a faltar-me um boné, porque não tinha nenhum e estava na minha lista de peças a comprar há algum tempo já. Andei de olho nos bonés de marcas desportivas e queria algo com um logo mais pequenino. Acabei por tropeçar neste no outlet e adorei. Acho os bonés bem mais cool que os chapéus de palha em geral, esses guardo-os para a praia, os bonés acho-os ideais para a cidade.

Comprei também esta bandolete em couro na Mango. Era uma daquelas peças que precisava mesmo? Não, mas já andava a namora-la há algum tempo. Adoro o franzido, adoro o facto de ser em pele e adoro a cor verde pistacho. Achei-a cara no preço cheio e decidi que só a compraria em saldos. Entretanto já tinha desistido porque não estava mais disponível no site, quando de repente dou com ela na loja a 6€. Como assim? E vocês já sabem, tenho dificuldade em controlar-me com pechinchas!

Mas não há look que fique completo sem perfume e maquilhagem. Comprei estes conjunto de perfumes, em formato “Discovery Set”, resultantes de uma parceria da Zara com Jo Malone. Não me vou alongar sobre este item porque quero dedicar-lhe um post inteiro, mas assim em jeito de aviso, digo-vos apenas que são maravilhosos!

Isso e os batons da YLS e da Kate Von D que comprei recentemente. Entrei na loja numa de “vou dar só uma olhada” e saí de lá com novos itens de beleza. É a primeira vez que compro maquilhagem de marca high hand mas estou a adorar usa-la! A textura e o cheiro são maravilhosos. Fiquei fã!! Mas só volto a comprar em saldos que eu sou forreta!!

Kimono lover

Sabem aquelas peças que vocês vêm num site, na montra de uma loja, ou numa influencer que adoram, e que vos enche o olho? Foi assim com este quimono. Não é novo por aqui, já o usei numa edição do Portugal Fashion, em 2017 (vejam aqui e aqui), e adoro-o. Lembro-me bem de quem o vi a usar e sei até dizer-vos de cor o look completo com que estava combinado. Jeans de cor clara, t-shirt branca, sandálias douradas. Quando o encontrei não consegui resistir a tê-lo para mim também. Claro que não descansei até ter as sandálias douradas também, que, aliás, estavam também presentes em outros looks que eu andava a tentar replicar. Este quimono é uma daquelas peças que tenho no armário e que amo de paixão, mas que não uso com tanta frequência assim por ser bem vistoso e nem sempre estar nesse mood. Sim, porque um quimono assim gigante e esvoaçante em vermelho vivo é tudo menos discreto. Tenho para mim que o vermelho é daquelas cores que temos de usar com confiança e determinação, não serve, de todo, para aqueles dias em que estamos em baixo. Quase na mesma linha de pensamento com que nos atrevemos a usar néon, porque certamente, com qualquer uma das opções, vamos sobressair na multidão. Apercebi-me também que a melhor maneira de o usar é sempre assim, com peças mais básicas e neutras. Sem complicar muito nem fazer confusão. Adorei o resultado final e vou certamente repetir o look.

Do you know those pieces that you see on a website, in a store window, or in an influencer that you love, and that fill your eyes? It was like that with this kimono. It's not new here, I've already used it in an edition of Portugal Fashion, in 2017 (see here and here), and I love it. I well remember who I saw wearing it and I can even tell you by heart the complete look it was combined with. Light colored jeans, white t-shirt, gold sandals. When I found him I couldn't resist having him for myself too. Of course I didn't rest until I had the golden sandals too, which, by the way, were also present in other looks I was trying to replicate. This kimono is one of those pieces that I have in my closet and that I love with passion, but that I don't wear that often because it's so dressy and I'm not always in that mood. Yes, because a kimono that giant and fluttering in bright red is anything but discreet. I believe that red is one of those colors that we have to use with confidence and determination, it doesn't work, at all, for those days when we are down. Almost in the same line of thinking with which we dare to use neon, because certainly, with either option, we will stand out from the crowd. I also realized that the best way to use it is always like this, with more basic and neutral pieces. Not too complicated or confusing. I loved the final result and I will definitely repeat the look.

Trend alert!! Já não fazia um destes posts há mais de um ano. Quem se lembra do último Trend alert aqui no blog, sobre a cor lilás? Pois é, parece que foi há uma vida, mas eu gosto tanto destes posts que não resisti a voltar a eles.

Desta vez venho falar-vos das micro, mini, microscópicas malas, que são já uma tendência. Desengane-se quem achava que a moda das bolsas XS se iria ficar pela instagramável Le Chiquito da Jacquemus. Fendi, Gucci, Chanel e Bottega Veneta não ficaram indiferentes à tendência, nem mesmo a Dior, que acabou de lançar a 23 de Junho quatro malas icónicas da marca em formato “microbag”. Lindas e maravilhosas, leves e fáceis de transportar, mas muito provavelmente pouco úteis quando queremos guardar algo dentro. Há quem atribua o fenómeno a dois motivos bem distintos. Por um lado o status que uma micro mala nos confere, pelo facto de nos podermos dar ao luxo de não carregar nada connosco. Por outro uma questão económica, uma vez que estes modelos tendem a ser mais acessíveis que os maiores já existentes. Quase seguindo a lógica da maquilhagem e perfumaria das marcas de luxo (que é o segmento que mantem as mesmas marcas) que nos conferem a sensação de ter algo mais exclusivo e assim pertencer também a esse grupo de pessoas consumidoras do luxo.

Mas afinal o que cabe dentro duma mala tão pequena? A Dior lançou o desafio a várias pessoas e provou que o essencial cabe, e sobra espaço ainda. Podem conferir aqui neste vídeo.

Bem sabem que sou fã de malas pequenas mas não sei se me arrisco a tão pouco espaço útil. Ainda assim é inegável que são tendência e estão aí para ficar. Não tarda temos as fast fashion com as suas muitas versões. Quem vai aderir?

Trend alert!! I haven't done one of these posts for over a year. Who remembers the last Trend alert here on the blog, about the color lilac? Yeah, it seems like a lifetime ago, but I like these posts so much that I couldn't resist going back to them.

This time I come to talk to you about the micro, mini, microscopic bags that are already a trend. Those who thought that the XS handbags trend would end up with Jacquemus Le Chiquito must be disappointed. Fendi, Gucci, Chanel and Bottega Veneta were not indifferent to the trend, not even Dior, who just launched on June 23 four iconic bags of the brand in “microbag” format. Beautiful and wonderful, light and easy to carry, but most likely useful when you want to keep something inside. There are those who attribute the phenomenon to two very different reasons. On the one hand, the status that a micro bag gives us, because we can afford not to carry anything with us. On the other hand, an economic issue, as these models tend to be more affordable than the larger ones that already exist. Almost following the logic of make-up and perfumery of luxury brands (which is the segment that maintains the same brands) that give us the feeling of having something more exclusive and thus also belonging to this group of luxury consumers.
